replaced with Sam Darnold.  TBD if that's a significant improvement, but it couldn't be worse

Last season that guy showed he is mostly capable of producing if he is given a solid supporting cast around him.  14 wins proved it.

However, when the division and the season were on the line, he failed.  Massively.  He looked like a deer in the headlights.  Especially in the playoff game against the Rams.

I think you will be pleasantly surprised by him this season.  The outcome will be an improvement from Geno.

I'm jumping in both feet.

Eagles vs Ravens SB and Eagles win in OT with the tush push.

Whelp, last season I said the Hawks were going nowhere as long as they had Geno Smith.

He's gone, replaced with Sam Darnold.  TBD if that's a significant improvement, but it couldn't be worse.  They drafted QB Jalen Milroe in the 3rd round for insurance. New QB coach too.

I also said they needed to wipe out the O-Line and start over.

Done.  They let go of their existing line, and have 5 2025 draft picks on the O-Line now, including a 1st round pick, plus another guard. They have another lineman that was drafted last year too.  New O-line coach too. Complete rebuild.

I also said they needed to upgrade their running backs.

Not done.  They did draft one running back, but it appears they're going to see what the revamped O-line can do before making changes in the backfield.

That said, they drafted a tight end and a wide receiver - both studs. Also added veteran Cooper Kupp plus a few other WR and TE's, and got a new assistant offensive coordinator.

Lots of changes in key positions.  It looks good on paper, but this year will definitely be a rebuilding year, so I don't have high expectations.  But you never know!

I don’t think Darnold can do a lot to help develop Milroe, but I think Jalen will be starting by mid-season anyway.

Agree with most but I think it will be Eagles vs Bills.

Thanks for not bashing my Chiefs so far.  The injured kids from last season look healthy.  So I expect the Chiefs to be tough again this year.  We will see.

Hard to bash a team with their pedigree. And one of the best coaches ever.

Plus the help from the zebras

Looks like Green Bay signed Micah Parsons to a massive deal today.

Can't say I'm happy about that given my beloved team in purple will have to deal with that game wrecker for years now moving forward.

I think Karma may have spotted it’s next victim.

We'll have to see how that pans out. Micah got the bag and

now he's really got back problems. The Cowboys were not

a dominant D even with him on the team. Granted, he's been

a game wrecker at times. But I'm not sure he'll be who they

think he'll be. I'm thinking Mario Williams, Von Miller. They

had good games with the new teams/contracts, but were a

shadow of what they were in terms of consistency.

And granted, Micah is still young....

I can't believe no one has mentioned the Travis and Taylor engagement yet. 😂

If she does the halftime show, you KNOW the Chiefs are winning it again.  It's too good of a story book ending not to happen. 🤮

It's the Cowboys year! Right?  *cough, cough*

Ok, joking aside, they're predicting the Cowboys WILL go to the Superbowl this year.

.....Unless, of course, they don't have a ticket.

Classless move by Carter to spit on Prescott before the game even started.  Ejecting him for misconduct was the right move.

I fell asleep during the weather delay.  Considering the score was the same as it was when I fell asleep, I didn't miss anything.

Prescott has the highest odds to lead the league in passing BTW.  It's primarily because of a lack of a running game and an atrocious defense so they are expected to be in a lot of high scoring games.  Burrow is second for the same reason.  No defense.

Well then you missed the rest of the story.  Video showed Prescott spit towards Carter first, then nodded with a "take that" smirk, and then pushed his way out of his ring of players to confront Carter.

So Prescott initiated the whole thing. The refs always get the guy that retaliates.

Spitting on the ground is not a penalty though.  Every pro athlete does it in every sport.  Spitting on another player is a penalty.

Certainly what Prescott did may have had some motive behind it in an attempt to get Carter to respond, but his action was not a penalty.

I do agree that very often it's the retaliation that gets flagged for the penalty.  That happens frequently, while what initiates the reaction often goes unseen.

It was directed at Carter. Prescott did it with purpose and intent.  And then he got in Carter's face. It wasn't just spitting. There's a difference.

He'll get fined by the NFL.
