What is everyone’s favorite Topwater line I have one dedicated rod for Buzz Baits Ploppers and Frogs  .Just curious to see what everyone is using

As in fishing line?  Floaty mono.  I throw 14 and 16# supernatural for walking baits and 17# elite for buzzbaits most of the time.

Walking baits, jerkbaits, poppers, I use 15 lb Big game  mono.

Frogs I use 50-65lb braid, because I’m throwing in the thick narly vegetation.

Mono and braid.

PowerPro green 20lb braid.

Poppers and walkers, 10lb nylon.
Buzzbaits and frogs, 50lb braid.

Walkers/ Poppers - 12 ln mono. Frogs 50 lb braid

Frogs will need braid. The others use mono.

At least that's how I do it.

Frogs get 65 braid

Super Spooks get 30 braid to an 18 inch  14 lb mono leader.

Most everything else is on 14 Super Natural except poppers which are 10/12 mono.

My top water rig has mono- Big Game 12lb mono.

Big game or power pro. In the case of topwaters with lighter treble hooks, I like to do power pro to a big game leader on a medium spinning rod

After using mono for 40 years I've gone to 30lb. braid. I can't find a downside to it. It makes a so so running wake bait or walking bait better.

30# braid

Never use a leader.

I’m in the process now of changing brands  which has been eye opening for me.
I’ve always used original Power Pro for the 3 presentations that I use braid on.

I changed over to Seaguar’s Smackdown and was really surprised and impressed with it.
It’s smoother coming off and I get more distance which for me is critical as I’m more of a placement caster even in open water as opposed to just throwing and hoping.

The biggest change for me was for frogs.
I use the Scum line exclusively with the small original one being my go to which I use 50#.
Before the switch being a course 4 carrier braid, I thought about dropping to 40# to get a little more distance but would be a little scary for me considering the majority of the “frog water” we have here.

For everything else on top it’s still 30# but now Seaguar’s Smackdown

17 lb fluoro for buzzbaits..

30 lb. braid for all other topwater…

10 lb braid, 7 lb Sniper leader for BFS

For open water walking baits and poppers, last year I tried the "Topwater" specific line from P-Line and really liked it...

Sunline Super Natural is nice too...

I prefer mono over braid for those types of baits, especially on baitcasting rigs which is primarily what I use for those endeavors...

Frogs and frogging, Sunline FX2 braid...

I ran regular ol purple spool Stren 12 or 14# for the longest time.

Tried Sunline Supernatural last summer. Yep.....won't be going back to Stren. I like the green color.

I don't frog much, but when I do it's 40# braid

15 pound Big Game.

50# braid for frogs. 12 lb. Big Game mono for trebles and buzzbaits. 30# braid for Whopper Plopper and Spook simply because you can cast them a mile and I usually use the 110 size WP. I set the drag loose for these and play the fish in open water. I use a 7' MH "heavy cranking" rod for this bait. This rod also does some duty for toads and various oddball MH applications.

I like sufix 832 30lb braid to a very short 10lb yo-zuri hybrid leader for most topwater and just replace the entire leader when I switch lures. The yo-zuri is a good leader for this type of thing and not expensive IMHO. For frogs I just go with 50lb sufix w/ no leader.
