Just don’t try it with Elaztech.

I’m interested to see the results! Good luck. I’ve always grabbed shaky heads and for some reason put them back on the shelf before I check out lol. I think because in Florida and Iowa the ponds and lakes have such silt scum bottom I talk myself out o

Why is that? I know elaztech can be hard to thread on a spring holder.

Keep us posted on how they work. Ideal BFS weight is 1g(1/32oz) to 7g(1/4oz).

I used to make my own screw locks and in order to get Elaztech to work I had to burn a hole in the end of the worm.  It was a pain so I quit making screw locks.

I’m not a fan of the screw locks either. I prefer the keeper that’s on the Davis or war eagle shaky heads.

No screw locks for me either;  big PIA.

I guess I'm contrary - I specifically make sure it's got a screw-lock before I order.

I have been playing with a few shakey heady hooks that was gifted to me, 1 without a screwlock, but a couple that have it. I like screw locks so far. I had one that held my Zoom finesse worm through a dozen fish. And that's about how many fish I've caught on a shakey head so far.

These are the first I've actually purchased.

I’m with @MN Fisher…. I like the screw lock.

If you end up not liking those. The best shakey head I have ever used and I will not use any other kind now that I have is a Picasso Rhino Shakey head. It was designed by Aaron Martens and it is the most weedless best performing shakey I have ever seen. Little more expensive but WELL worth it.

I'm more of an Owner, Gama, Vmc user but can't say I've had any issues with their baits or hardware.

Also like XPS baits.

I use nothing but screw locks for Shaky.

OH, a big no to Elaztech on screw locks but otherwise love the stuff.

Exactly right. I have been using these for the past 4 or 5 years. Seems like they always hook in the  top of the fishes mouth. Hardly ever loose a fish with them. Well worth the money.

I like the screwlock style also. I pour my own with a centering-pin style screwlock.

The hook is important! Tungsten?
