So it should weigh just under 150 lbs if it is comparable to every other boat of that size and style, give or take 5 or so pounds. Maybe start there as far as how waterlogged the foam is.

Can you post a pic of the boat? And if you can find it there should be an occupancy/hp rating placard or decal on it somewhere. It’d probably help us help you. X2 on the weighing the boat before taking it in half. That foam’s not going to dry out fast but cracking into one can cause more problems than it fixes, depending on age and condition.

If it’s smooth pvc and you have the rods with reels on them in there and you are driving, you are adding weight as it slams the tip section into the end of the tube. If two rods are in there together and even a little interlinked you have the weight of two rods on whatever tip is sticking further out at the end. I take the reels off, foam in the ends and stuff a few plastic bags or rags in either end so the rods can’t move much.

It couldn’t hurt but if it’s inside in the a/c it’s probably not necessary. I wouldn’t have them anywhere they touch the firearms.

The fuel line is still in great shape - I will replace them anyway out of an abundance of caution. I think I probably have a fitting that’s going bad or I smushed one or caught it in the hatch door. I just wanted to make sure it was symptomatic of air in the line - thanks everybody!

I disconnected the tank to fill it - that’s the only change. These fittings are 5+/- years old so it’s probably time to change them out.

So Saturday AM I started the boat as normal after disconnecting the fuel tank to take it to fill up. 6 gallon tank to a 2015 Mercury 20 hp 4 stroke. Quick release at the motor and quick release about two feet from the tank. Primer bulb and fuel demand in line. I thought I heard an air hiss as I primed it but started as normal and off I went. At full power it felt like it throttled way down to idle. It would then throttle back up if I backed it down and back up and then the same thing would happen. Vent was open on the tank, fresh gas. Any thoughts?

Put bolts through your bunks with additional swing out bunks that function like a bunk ramp. If you only need 5-6 feet a couple 8ft 2x4s should get er done.

Yeah they range less when the water is clear and the sun is high. They get big by eating and not being eaten so they’ll tuck in under boulders and tight to sweepers when you have those conditions. You have to really put it close in some tight places usually. Much better at dawn and dusk in those circumstances, and in faster water.

The answer is in the depth you want it to hit and with what current. You can add suspend dots and/or strips to the front sections or add lead wire or gold tape to the hook hangers if you don’t want to buy another bait. Add the amount that the next heavier sink rate would be if that makes sense.

Those will be adequate. But when you run out, those Owners are the bees’ knees. +1 for me in the Caffeine Shad. It has good weight and a great shimmy. FYI flukes/soft jerkbaits come in many shapes - don’t limit them to just ones with forked tails.

The mouth, the fins, the body shape, and coloration would all point to bluegill, probably a female. Really doesn’t matter in this case - Just make sure if you plan to keep fish that you are good at identification.

I like pickle juice and mustard too. I’d quit the hydration tablets unless you are working long hours in a hot environment. They just pull water away from your body if you have a surplus. I’ll go a different direction- work in your flexibility and stability with some yoga. It helps a ton in blood flow. And drink more water.

That reel will do 3/8 with no problem with the right rod. Getting it cleaned and properly lubed helps a ton with ease of casting. FWIW - most any 50-200 sized modern baitcaster will handle those weights. Even down around 1/4 oz.

I would find/figure out the leak before tearing anything down - how much water are we talking ?

Looking at that I think what you’re proposing is a lot of work depending on where the leak is.
