  1. Yeah trolling might be your jam.

They come back to where they remember the nest was. If it’s a handful you’re probably fine. If it’s more than a dozen or so I’d say you have more work to do. I hit a nest in some roots and a hold with the mower a few years back. I’m not proud of the noises I made running away with them all under my shirt and shorts.? …it’s funny now
  3. Have you considered a trolling set-up? Really no twisting, you just paddle and keep an eye on the rods.
  4. I’ve never worried about my Striker unless the yak was upside down and even then, I just flipped it over. It’ll take waves and paddle splashes no problem. Mind your battery and connections though. Editing this - you shouldn’t be throwing water forward when you’re paddling, maybe other than drips from the blades. Smooth is fast.
  5. People in Texas say every year is the Cowbums’ year. More than a quarter century of being wrong.
  6. What he said. Stay away from the pump, piping and anchor rope(s). Pond owners do not take kindly to hooks in pump lines. Now that fountain is either floating or attached to a small concrete island. If it’s floating, treat the spray area and base like overhead cover. I actually love OG Rapalas twitched through the spray pattern. If it’s attached to an island, fish it like a hump or vertical cover. I like jigs or t-rigs at the base and out to the spray line. Ymmv
  7. I think you’re in the wrong place for peoples to talk you out of buying a reel…
  8. There are tons of them in the Catawba chain
  9. Showing up is the hard part. Once you’re there it’s all therapeutic. never trust anyone that likes running.?
  10. Yeah how’s your mile and a half time??? ?
  11. Curado 200D, although the Chronarch 100D is great too.
  12. Clearly you care a lot about your rabbit. They are not hearty creatures; it’s just the nature of the beast. Good luck with finding someone who can care for yours to your standards.
  13. Start your t-rig juuust below the midline of the front. It keels them up just a touch.
  14. It’s too late now but I’d do a 2.8 keitech in white or a Shad color to get down to them. Or stroke a lipless crank bait or blade bait around and through the bait balls. I’m SW of you in Charlotte but the above works (most of the time) on the Catawba chain. Mixed bag of lm and spots and occasion blue cat and white perch.
  15. Humans. And it’s not even close.
  16. Talk about it. Have a professional help you through talking about it. Recognize that it’s not bad or good, and it’s something that is part of you. It’s like the size of your feet or the color of your hair. Accept it and work with it but don’t let it control you.
  17. We’ve used people off of Rover before to care for our cats/dog. No issues. We have had more fails with people we know than total strangers.
  18. They just know. And they’re there, no matter what. Reminds me of someone. I hope she can rest and feel better.
  19. If you want less potential bitterness, half them and steam for 5 min. Then spray with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and roast at 450 until a little crispy. I like cut side up. If they’re super fresh and smaller than ping pong balls you can skip the steaming. After roasting, drizzle on or toss in your favorite sauce. I like them plain or with a little chili flake and some Sweet Baby Ray’s Terryaki.
  20. I JUST WANT EVERYONE TO GET OFF MY LAWN!!! There’s some truth to a lot of things in this thread, and a lot of opinions/assumptions/extrapolations with no empirical basis. But feelings and experiences count too. I still see the same variability in work ethic be it in our interns or our people who have been on the job 20 years. And that hasn’t changed in the 30 years I’ve been working. My first boss was happy to pay me double time on overtime to do the jobs they didn’t want to do. I try to worry about me and who’s coming with me.
  21. I did a Murph this morning. I didn’t make it to 100 pull ups. I also didn’t video any of it. It’s 90+ and humid today - it looked like I was melting by the end of the second mile.

It’s fun to watch the start but then it just gets disgusting. You can see the pain on their faces as the cram it down. 60 dogs is about 16,000 calories- about 8 days worth of eating in 10 minutes. Yowzah! It’s weirdly impressive but I always go back to the saying - Just because you can doesn’t mean you should. btw - I could probably get a dozen in in ten minutes. Not proud of it; it just is.
  23. I really didn’t know that! ??
