  2. ^^ This ^^ ....mostly. I'd add they don't mention other COMPETING brands. But many will say exactly what brand/bait they're using if they don't have a sponsor for that type of bait. A good example is this video, where pro Brian Schmitt talks freely about the Geecrack Neko Hack, and even discloses he's not sponsored by them:

  6. Well, this has gone off-topic and into political territory (some comments have been removed). So this is good spot to end it. And scene....
  7. Beat the late-summer heat by targeting bass in rivers. Guide Jack Uxa shares proven spots, lures, and tactics for catching largemouth, smallmouth, and spotted bass below a river dam. https://www.bassresource.com/fishing/summer-dam-rivers.html
  8. What an amazing feat!
  9. The primary ingredients for plastisol—PVC resin, plasticizers, and pigments—are sourced from a complex global supply chain dominated by China, and countries in Europe (mainly Germany) and Southeast Asia. The machinery used to make the Senkos are either made overseas or the parts are made overseas. The packaging for Senkso is, guess what? And salt? Yup, costs more to mine/produce due to the same reasons. Shipping? Ya, it's best to assume EVERYTHING in the supply chain is affected. And so on, and so on, and so on. They were warned about using tariffs this way....few listened...except to the rhetoric. And now here we are.
  10. I don't have a set distance. It really depends on the cover thickness, water clarity, and the aggressiveness of the bass (or if they're skittish). 10 feet is a good starting point, then adjust from there.
  11. Oh man, I don't know how many times this needs to be said, but here we go again... Just because something is "Made in America" doesn't mean it's exempt from tariffs. Often (raw or manufactured) materials, machinery, and parts used to create a product in America come from overseas. All of those are getting hit by tariffs, hence the higher costs you're seeing now. To put another way, it's increasingly difficult to find something that is entirely and exclusively "Made in America." Therefore, blanket tariffs raise the price of virtually everything "Made in America". And in case this is breaking news, the consumer pays the tariff, not the country of origin, meaning the U.S. consumers are seeing higher and higher prices now as a result of tariffs. I kinda feel like I'm shouting in the wind, though. Nobody seems to be paying attention to how tariffs work...and, especially, don't work. They were warned....

  16. Naw, it wasn't just you or the Columbia. Up at Banks on the same day - 75 fish with the biggest 5 going 8 1/2 lbs total! Monster dinkfest!!
  17. Not that cost isn't a factor for me, but long ago when I was debating whether or not to spend the extra $$ on a Gortex rainsuit or get something more budget friendly, my buddy told me, "When it's cold, rainy, and windy and you're dry and comfortable, you won't be thinking about how much you spent on your outfit." I took his advice and bit the bullet. He was right. So now I apply that approach to much of my fishing. Line is super-important. It's the difference between an awesome memory and another "one that got away" story. So I don't skimp. It's Tatsu and InvizX for me, although I've been trying the R18 and am loving it (Dang baitmonkey!!). But don't forget BasiX is an awesome budget-friendly fluorocarbon with many of the same great properties of more expensive lines. All that said, those dang walleye will still slice 6-lb Tatsu like a hot knife through butter. Don't ask me how I know!
  18. Few things kill the bite faster than a summer cold front—bluebird skies, calm winds, and shut-down bass. But don’t hang it up just yet. I just dropped battle-tested tactics to help you catch bass when everyone else is skunked. You CAN catch bass during and after a summer cold front. Watch the FULL breakdown here & start catching bass in tough post-front conditions!
