  2. Nice fish. What do you mean by "citation record"?
  3. Had our first tourney of the season today on the Fox Chain. Let me start by saying what a crappy windy cold day it was. Water level up. A few inches low still, but no longer hazardous. Most of the navigation bouys still not out yet. Water temp from 48-53. Water clarity seems to have improved a little since they closed the spillway. Had a 50 boat field. 1st was 13+lbs, 2nd 12+, 3rd 11+, there were (6) 10lb+ bags and we barely made the cut at 8th place with 5 fish @ 10.19lbs. Big bass for the tourney was an ENORMOUS 6.66lbs. I have never seen a bass that big on those waters. Someone also weighed in a 5.01 and there were also a few 4's. Let me end by saying what a crappy windy cold day it was out there.
  4. If they won't go down to your liking try negociating add ons or up grades. Check the NADA value of the boat and motor. It' will give you some idea of the boats value.
  5. The denny brauer vids also used to be on bassmaster.com
  6. Yes, but fluke, bassn and snook are much more entertaining.
  7. My .02 First off, take your personal info off a public forum. The world doesn't need your phone# and address. Secondly,So what. You've tourney fished 1 season and placed a couple times. (Looks like you want free stuff)What do you bring to the table? I intend this to be constructive, so don't take it as an insult. I'm also wondering what you mean by "partnership". You're entering you're 2nd season at a competitive level. Anyone can fish competitively if they have the funds to do so.I think you need alot more creativity to make up for lack of tourney experience to get your foot in the door. FYI, Me, I've been tourney fishing for 8 years. Listed as a top money winner in my region, and have no sponsors. Never tried. I feel if I'm good enough, they will notice me. Anyone?LOL
  8. Get canned and collect unemployment for 99 weeks. You should be able to develop a pattern by then.
  9. He'd call him out at the Classic... I don't do FB either. How about "Pig Slopper" or "Sloppy Pig"?
  10. I'll have to pick up a pair. Too many d**n goats running around.

  16. Catt, What if theres money involved? In the classic Ike an Takihiro were tied on day 2 each with a total weight of 23.12 Fighting for 25th place and to compete on day 3. Takihiro had big bass and advanced. Ike did not.
  17. Welcome general. Don't worry about the location of the IL forum. For all your general bass questions just post in the "General Forum" This is just an area where we can report on local waters. There's a few gus from the south. I'm up near the WI border.
  18. Could be a couple things. First, Is the condenser coil clean? Coil is at the bottom of the unit. There may or may not be a fan. Unplug the fridge and brush/vacuum it out. Second, sticking defrost clock comes to mind. About a $20 part you can get at any appliance parts supplier. ie Sears. This clock may be located near the condenser or behind a panel on the fridge side. 3rd, If it gets warm again, unplug unit and remove back panel in freezer. This is where the evaporator coil is located. If it's frozen it's a defrost problem which may be the clock or the element(if you're not mechanicaly or electricaly inclined you may want to call a professional). Lastly, If its a fancy unit with digital display and circuitry and the board goes. Probably cheaper to get a new unit. Sounds like the compressor is ok from the discription you gave. Good luck.
  19. Big bass breaks ties is how most clubs do it.
  20. Keeps me going on those days where nothing seems to go right
  21. My .02 worth If you have a marketable skill, the only one holding you back is yourself. Whether working for your current employer, someone else, or yourself. Make as many contacts as you can in the trades. There's always somebody looking for somebody, and if you know enough somebodys, you could be that somebody they're looking for. Fortunatly I have a little security where I work even though I don't agree with some of the things that go on. I don't own the business, so I go to work, perform my job to the best of my ability, and go home. Me, It's been slow here too.I just started getting 40 a week since last fall. In my off time I've been putting together something for myself and doing some side work. Shhh...don't tell my union...Also got an almost guarantee to work for a company in Hawaii and keep my local affiliation so I wouldn't lose any benefits. I'd have to sign a contract, but would be giving up bass fishing and more importantly, my boy. We all have to make choices in our lives, and we have to live with these choices. You'll be alright.
  22. Have you caught bass in the areas you are fishing or are you just hoping for a fish? The area you are fishing may not be conducive to holding bass. The fish you see splashing could be carp or something other than bass. Can you get a topo map to see the depths OR check google maps satelite or birds eye view to see if you can identify different depths or kinds of structure?
  23. KVSHE. Sounds like a new screen name. Awsome you volunteered
  24. Maybe you should sell the scooter and get a real bike Boaters, at least on my lake do the same. I used to ride many years ago. I think it's kind of a brotherhood thing.
