  1. it will deff work....you can prett much assume anykind of spinnerbait will work at night until you find otherwise...looks like a cool bait!
  2. i have also met matt and your right...he is a great guy...i root for him when keeping up with the tournaments...what lake are you/were you fishing
  3. 1.5-1.75 lb
  4. my mistake lol...i saw the words zoom worm and float and for somereason trickworm popped in my head...geez...yall act like we are talking about medical diagnostics here...lighten up..
  5. haha...it depends on how long the drag holds out on kvds zebco....lol...if it was a lake with a bunch of big fish...after a couple of big uns he might not have much left to work with...kvd is the man...equipment doesnt make an angler...he caught fish 15 years ago on stuff alot of guys would call junk now...a challenge is nice...but even if you beat him...it would not change the fact that he is one of the greatest anglers of all time...he is number 1 for a reason...
  6. nice fish...did you release them?
  7. these guys are the people that represent our sport to the public...if half of the stuff i have heard is true, he should be banned for life from the elites..
  8. the trick worm is alot bigger than the robobs so be sure you use a bigger hook obviously...i couldnt replace the robos personally...they are one of my most productive baits on my home lake...favorite worms by far...try ordering the robos in bulk...i dont know if you can....they are deff worth the extra money though...i get them for 289 a pack...
  9. i think i emailed you and ask you about it last time you posted but you never replied...i might be able to go
  10. the bottom one looks like a rebel deep wee r..but im not sure...the top one looks kinda like a bomber model a but its not...could be one of the old bandits...be sure you change the hooks before you use them lol
  11. if its not a living minnow, alewive, shad, crawfish, worm or whatever and its not dead bait that used to be live...im talking like a minnow body or dead crawfish or somthing...it is very doubtfull it will ever be banned...if they ban one scent, they would have to ban them all..it would cause to many issues...
  12. i once told a previous girlfriend..."i fished and bought fishing tackle before i met you, and i will do the same now, and when your gone" needless to say...she is now gone.. lol
  13. what if you catch a bass and put it in the live well and it floats to the top of the well...would you recomend fizzing the fish then putting it back in the live well??would this increase its chances of making it to the weigh in and back into the water??
  14. i like the bang anise in the spray can...it sprays a mist and i use it when i remember to haha...i dont think a bass would notice if you had a crawdad scent on a shad bait..i have heard of people using it not as an attractant but as a cover scent.. just a fair warning to those of you who use the lunker sauce..i have seen the bottles that have the roller in the top of them explode in my brothers face and in one of my fishing partners face..the thing just popped and that stuff went everywhere..i have to admit..i was laughing my but off..but if that stuff gets in your eyes im sure it wouldnt be pleasant...im like the guy above..i dont use it on powerbait..i dont put it on roboworms either...mostly just on jig and spinnerbait skirts and baits that arent slick when i pull them out of the pack
  15. yeah for real...if not a sporting goods store...at least go to walmart lol....check some your local marinas..they will have stuff and can probably steer you in the right direction
  16. anything you would use on a t rig...just use what you like....tons of shakey worms out...sweet beaver does good on em...
  17. This may work but in my opinion, its way too much of a hassle to 'perform surgery' just to get a worm on a peg. The 3X worms are difficult to deal with but the floating qualities makes them very unique. jfriend, put it on a regular ball head or try some of the Gamakatsu Skip Gap shaky heads. I really like the Skip Gap heads. thanks fbl ... who carries the skip gap heads? i cant say that i have seen them..if i have .i over looked them...thought about t riggin em and peggin the weight...deff gonna try these tips out...
  18. the guy that made the post about 3x reminded me of the major pain in arse it is to get these worms on a shakey head...i cant get them on the cork screw type shakey heads or the ones with the spike...and when i put them on the strike king shakey heads they look like crap...anyone got any tricks to making these things look good on a jig head...i know they dont have to look perfect...im just really picky about the way my stuff looks...dont know why...guess i have a small case of ocd...just thinking about trying to rig these things aggravates me
  19. im still having nightmares about 3x finesse worms and going through the battle of trying to get them on my shakey heads and make them look have decent...
  20. although i do agree that rods, reels, tackle ect are tools for fishing...for most of us...fishing is not a job, so we dont see our tackle like a carpenter would see his tools. This is our hobby so we get enjoyment out of buying something that might make us be able to catch more fish....im like fbl i buy alot of what works...cheaper to buy in bulk
  21. im a tackle junky, but i dont use reel covers...i just through my stuff down and go...but then again i fish alot faster than most....haha...when my stuff is a few months old it looks like its a few years old lol...
  22. if the water is muddy...regardless of the temp..you should be able to find some shallow and right against cover...flip wood and bushes with a brushhog or whatever you like to flip with..you will need to get it right next to the cover though..you might try the same thing with a spinnerbait...not flipping it ofcourse but fishing it right up against the cover...catching fish deep in muddy water can be really difficult, so go after the shallow fish will probably be more productive..
  23. nice fish...what bait was on the empty hook in the pic?lol
