I read an article once about 3 guys, they fished over 200 days a year. All of them chasing the world record, one lost his business, one got divorced, they all were in debt up to their eye balls. That is insanity…… just trying to better yourself at a hobby your passion about is tenacity. I get skunked, even get on a skunk streak sometimes…… not my fault…. It’s the fishes.

What size weight is it? Most of the time use the rod tip to retrieve it method. I have went swimming for them though.

Hi from the Sunshine State of Florida. used to live in Nc, just north of Asheville, used to wade fish for small mouth.

I haven’t found them to be a big bite producer here in Florida. Now, when I lived in Nc, they were smallie magnets. Can be rigged virtually snag less, really like the stupid rigs.

I like these too, but they are pricey. BPS/ Cableas came out with some new ones. Like @osummerer23 stated you can get a few of these for the price of one of the others. Plus I’m not too tore up about losing one.

I am horrible at guessing their weights, even if I’m holding them, or looking at a picture.

She’s a nice one…… under 5, but over 4. It really depends on who caught it. If we were fishing together and you caught it eehhh….. if I caught it …NEW STATE RECORD.. hahaha.
