  1. The funniest part of this event was the names of the two Chinese who used those brooms to direct the stond: Dong and Wang. You can't make this stuff up.
  2. I was fortunant about baitcasters. Had a friend who was a guide teach me how to "balance it" and avoid backlashes. Once that was done, using a baitcaster became a pleasure and very easy.
  3. Sorry about your loss. Time to get another puppy!
  4. Thanks for sharing. Animals are part of our family unit and when they leave us we have a hole in our heart. Beaufitul puppy and sorry for your loss.
  5. Yes! I am watching Olympic curling with the USA vs. China and I have no idea what is going on. USA winning 6 to 1 so far.
  6. Not an owl but an Osprey on the Historic James River. Flew down from "no where" and grabbed the bass and took off with it, never to be seen again.

Nothing. I don't even understand the scoring. I only watch during the commercial times for another show I may be watching on TV. Otherwise, I am not interested.
  8. Great post. Thanks for sharing.
  9. You better believe it is fun. A great time for kids of all ages! Go to a Classic! Great memories and great people.
  10. By color, by rattle, and then by size. I have a speical tackle box when fishing that will hold the crankbaits, and other baits, that I plan to throw during the day backed up by the baits I have selected to put on the boat in case I need a different color, noise, or size.
  11. I don't recall. But, probably.
  12. Today's NBC12 weather report in Richmond called for 2-inches of rain from the storm.
  13. For you guys who have never attended a Classic, please envy the Tennessee guys who will be going plus everyone else on the Forum who will attend. I have attended two classics and they are fantastic. Nothing like them. As you walk from exhibit to exhibit, you can rub shoulders with the old pros, new pros, and the pros inbetween. You can see and meet Glenn and his lovely wife; get autographs from the pros; and get a lot of freebies. I never made it to the blast offs or weigh-ins. Too many things to do and enjoy at the show. And if Dick's is handing out their large green bags, get one or two as you will need them for the freebies and other things you can buy.
  14. Yes, we all hate thieves. But if you take the law into your own hands you become the perk and the thief gets the benefit of the doubt. It would be nice to set up a perimeter around your boat and vehicle, protecting it from anyone entering the protected zone. But you can't. You will be prosecuted if you attack the thief or fire a warning shot and good luck if you hit someone. I know this does not sound fair. We had a Chesterfield County police officer speak to my American Legion Post last summer on gun laws and the use of force to protect your family and possessions and he started off with these words that grabbed everyone's attention: "Don't move the body. We can tell if the body has been moved and if so, we are coming after you or whoever moved the body." He said if we see anyone stealing your gold three wheeler with the diamonds and rubies all over it, let it go. You try to stop the perk and you are the one in trouble. Makes sense? No, but it will keep you out of trouble. Call local law enforcement, file a report, and clean that weapon!!! (Just kidding about the weapon) Let the police handle the situation. Sorry to read about your boat. It will probably turn up after the Illinois registration sticker expires and someone will notice it or the Illinois wildlife and fisheries notices the expired decal while the boat is on the water, or on the ramp/parking lot, or if the perk is pulled over for a moving violation.

How about those Tigers! Oops. I mean How about those Bayou Bengals? Last try: How about those Bengals from LSU? Geaux Cinncy. Even if you are a 4-point underdog, it will be fun having a new team in the Super Bowl lead by Joe Burreaux and Jamar Chase plus others like Andrew Whitworth on the side of the bad guys.
  16. You will be facing a problem that has existed for many, many years: Copy Cats from Asia. Even if you patent your products, if they are successful the Chinese, etc. will make your product and sell it cheaper than you, putting you out of business. Nothing you can do to stop it. So maybe you can find an American company to help you with production and guard your patent. Good luck.

Let us know how you do in Florida. I do best on rivers with Chatterbaits, Jackhammers, and Molex Love's. Not too good on lakes.
  18. Everyone on the Forum is your mentor. Just ask your questions and we will do our best to give you good input. Welcome to the Forum. True! The pros say follow the baitfish but they never, ever, discuss the baitfish's habits. On local Virginia lakes you can see the shad balls in the Fall. But what are the crawfish, bluegill, bream, Sac-a-Lait, minnows doing? No one discusses what the bait fish are doing, other than they are in the "back of the creeks." Learn what the baitfish are doing on your bodies of water and you will have additional success when searching for the bass.
  19. Only you, slow and easy!!!!! ?
  20. Always enjoyed watching Brady play. Always a class act. Now to open the door for another quarterback to take his place, which will not be easy.

  22. For me, it depends on who is doing the reviewing. I have 100% confidence with the reviews by our Forum members who have no financial intrest in the product being reviewed or tested. The pros get paid to endorse their sponsors products, so you always take what the pros say about any one specific product with "grain of salt." Reviews by others who are unknown don't mean anything to me as one person can post 10 or more reviews under different names which skews the reviews in favor of the product. And thats the way it is....
  23. If you watched the Cinncy game yesterday you saw Joe Burreaux get sacked 8 times. Nothing new to Joe. He can take a hit and keep on going. Hope the Bengals can make it to Super Bowl, but if not, I will enjoy every minute of Cinncy's games.

The Walmart fishing department buyer wants to clear the deck with the hooks, therefore they are priced to move. Go for it. For $2 a pack you can't go wrong.
