  1. So you fished it like floating minnow baits ?
  2. I went four for six this morning . The two misses I had , those fish were caught on the next cast . Unheard of in my frog experience . I may never fish a toad again . I'm lucky to have a 25 percent landing ratio with a solid body toad . .
  3. I like to night fish on main lake flats and points where casting accuracy isnt that important .
  4. About any lure that sinks can be used . At that depth a 3/4 ounce Red Eye Shad is a favorite of mine . I dont know about the grass though . Some vegetation doesnt stay anchored when ripping a lure out .
  5. Bought a new Booyah Toad Runner Frog and couldnt wait to try it out . Took it to the scum pond first thing this morning and caught a 5 lber .

I buy one . They have to earn their keep before I buy multiples.
  7. That makes it tough . I fish a lake like that a lot .Short accurate cast are a must along the edges and , pockets .Keep the lure just under the surface . If its to bad a spinnerbait will be useless .
  8. yum dinger Bama Bug . Thats been the hot worm and color the past two years Gitzit buzzbait 1/2 oz spinnerbait 1/2 oz deep diving crank squarebill RedEye Shad Frog toad Long A Minnow
  9. I did the same thing to the micro screwdriver on a Leatherman . It has needlenose pliers , hook sharpener , knife and jig eye punch . I never use the jig eye punch and wish I had the screwdriver . LOL
  10. From Tennessee , they bite all year . Go when its comfortable for you .
  11. What hook were you using ?
  12. After Stanley Mitchell won the classic , I bought some of those Luhr Jensen Krocodile Spoon's . Dont think I ever caught a bass on them .
  13. Caught about 40 post spawners today and about half of them over 15 inches . Brush piles , flats and points . This is probably the largest of the day . Dont know the weight because my scales fell apart . Caught main lake point , 5 foot deep on a Gitzit .
  14. Before pitching a worm { no brush hogs , lizards , craws , or anything else with little fish attracting appendages ] into it , I like to throw either a spinnerbait or buzzbait through it because they navigate through brush real well . Pretty simple . I fish brush piles a lot .
  15. The hat has character .
  16. Thats what I do . Before a spinnerbait reaches the point where it breaks I take the blades and swivel and put them on my baits . It looks like I have the same mold as you , the bullet spinner mold . I found a bunch of cheap spinnerbaits at a farm store on clearance for .25 but they had good swivels , so I bought them all just for the swivels . I see my mistake . The blade on the clevis is not spinning . I dont use willows on the clevis .
  17. Cant tell for sure but those look like cheap swivels . If they are not ball bearing I suggest upgrading .
  18. Caught a 5 this morning at a pond on a frog .
  19. Mountain Dew Busch Light Manns
  20. I bought several bags years ago and still using them . They are kind of root beer colored and I use a chartreuse marker on the tail . Smallmouth love the things . Caught some largemouths on it just yesterday .
  21. Sometimes different is not using everything new . I talked to another angler at a lake yesterday . He told me he never throws a buzzbait anymore , he throws a Whopper Plopper . I thought , "Hes not throwing it in the same place as I" . He said he never fishes a worm opting instead for a Baby Brush Hog . I'm thinking "You are doing a lot more phantom hooksets than I "' He also never throws a spinnerbait instead a chatterbait or swimjig and I'm thinking "Youre kidding , right"
