Sounds like you are throwing to the places bass like to hang around with the right lures .I dont know how skilled you are but maybe refining your presentation with quieter more accurate cast and try to be stealthy . Maybe you are already doing that already in which case , keep on trying to figure them out .

The past two years I have converted to the Yum Dinger as my main worm . I Texas rig that worm by stiking a 3.0 or 4.0 offset hook through the slot ,no EWG . I do not texpose the hook in the slot .When a bite is detected , I put slight pressure on the fish then pull back, Greg Hackney style . . My last two outings I have went through 7 bags of them . Open water situations Gitzits have been dealing .

I took this guy fishing and we caught fish pitching worms to brush piles . He told a dude at the dock we were flipping into structure . Never took him fishing again . Nice guy though .

I use 17 lb test Clear blue flourescent XL on my worm rod . The stuff is hard to break and .15 in diameter , Same as 15 lb Big Game . I like the stuff .

If I could hack the heat , I would be out there on those 90 to 100 degrees days .The fishing is still good .

Happened to me .. I couldnt figure out why the marina lights were off . I was looking the opposite direction .

When I see peolple throwing spinnerbaits its almost always a bright chartruse or white . I rearely throw those . More natural and duller baitfish or bluegill patterns does it for me . Also a gold/copper blade combo kills it in off colored waters . I like to take a chartreuse Spike-It marker and draw a straght line down the entire length of a june bug or purple worm . It doesnt turn it chartreuse but gives it a two tone appearnce . Nothing a bass eats is a solid color . There are no solid white shad , no solid brown crawdads .

That has to cause some serious line twist .

I cant pass up the name this lure threads . I check the latest catch pics thread everytime I log in . Theres been some nice bass caught recently .

On this body of water , I probably average 40 fish a day . It helps to know where the brush is at .I've been fishing it since the 70's so know it as well as anybody . Plus I fished it for ten hours today . Thats only 5 fish an hour .

Caught about 50 today . Most of the damage done with a texas rigged Dinger . The first one of the day was the biggest at 4.5 lbs . Thats 120 fish since Friday . My thumb is bleeding .

The bigger fish came on frogs in the slop . Numbers came from brush piles .

I hate to throw the things away but havent found a way to reuse them .

Yum Dinger . Just went through four packs of them on Friday catching two to three lb bass in man made brush piles .

I havent seen them yet . They look like they would penetrate great .

I couldnt do it because I dont have a phone .
