Pond fishing can be tough. They only hold so many fish and the pond you are fishing might not be that good to begin with . You said you caught 4 last week . Thats not much . Are there are any larger public waters nearby ? You dont need a bass boat to catch numbers of bass . I fish from a canoe , plastic bass baby , jon boat and a deck boat . There are a lot of public waters within 70 miles of me available that hold good populations of bass .

All the Rapalas I had were so light I could only cast them on spinning gear , so I never used them much . I dont use spinning equipment much . I know I'm missing out by not using it but I only carry a handful of rods . The Long A , I have used a lot and is one of my favorite baits .

I stayed at the aunts creek resort twice in the 80's and 90's. Last time there it was gone . I never caught a lot at Table Rock but always manage to get a few .

The Bomber Prop A works well on baitcasting gear . Thats what drew me to the Long A to begin with .The first time I bought one was by accident . I was already a fan of the Long A in that size . I was on the lake one day and decided to tie on my new lure and couldnt believe it had a stupid prop on it . Oh well , lets see what it does . It caught bass is what it did and big ones .I once caught book end 7 lbers on it on back to back cast .

The one on the left is a Bomber Prop A .A Long A minnow with a prop . The largest limit of bass I have ever caught was on one . Its one of my favorite post spawn baits When they were discontinued I found some in a clearance bin and bought a bunch of them . I have never used that pattern but by the looks of them , they caught a fair number of bass . They were not around long and absolutely zero information about them on the internet . My favorite retrieve is to twitch as fast as I can , yet still remain in contact with the surface .

I get small ones a lot . Big bird nest , infrequently. I try to stay away from lures that are to light . Heavier lures catch bass and are easier to place . Thats just me .

I would rather prevent an accident than witness a fellow tear up his rig .

I dont prefer one over the other . I even bought some glow in the dark swimbaits and use them during the day . They work like any other shad colored baits .

Three day event , 10 largest bass over a pound count . Weigh them on the boat and release them .

Some boaters dont even pay attention to the under water hazard buoys . Ive stood on the bow , waving my arms frantically trying to get them to stop .

Of the two you posted the BPS looks better . The ripplin Red Fins are kind of big .

You can use anything but being the bass you see are close to the surface , a suspending jerkbait might do the trick .

The Big O looked like it has thick paint chipped off on the back side . Thats Why I thought it was maybe a hand carved bait .

Man , those were some hits . I thought that might be what it was and have done it with worms but have only caught a few

I guess I dont do it because I dont know what frog dangling is .

Top row River Runt , Bagleys Peanut I think , Hot n Tot , Deep wee R , Bottom row ? , Heddon Sonic , Arbogast ? , then that last one looks like a hand carved balsa bait . I dont know the spinnerbaits . the last one looks like strike King blades .

I'm thinking about staying here a week this fall . Anyone have recommendations of a place to stay , preferably cabins . with covered boat dock .

I was snorkeling in a clear water creek at a campground . Every laydown that looked like it should hold bass did . Anyway , I would repeatedly tap my fingernail against my watch crystal , then bass would come out and look at my finger and watch every time , then swim back . Repeated tapping got ignored .

I dont know what kind of fish that is but it looks like a bully .
