Suffix 131 is supposed to cast really far because it's 13 strand and ultra smooth.i personally would be nervous fishing line as thin as some of these guys do.to many rocks and things where I fish.

first thing to do is check with state regulations and make sure you ARE NOT VIOLATING LAW. bait bucket with air pump and ice and they make additives for that.

832 is great stuff. I've since switched to vicious no fade braid and will not look back. 20 lb will cast plenty far enough and you lose less baits. Personally I'd can the leaders.

I'm a big time braid user but on those older rods I would not use it. Guides have come a long way since then. Your best bet would be suffix advance mono due to it's lower stretch.

No it has magnetic brakes. That's one of their budget models.65$ new with graphite frame and magnetic brakes.

You don't pick out braid. You jam your thumb on it and reel. Then you pull until it stops and repeat

mono is not more forgiving. braid is easier to get out and doesnt get damaged

I'd go back and get what you wanted. It's your money . You earned it. Make sure you spend it on what you want.

I used suffix 832 for years. It's great line. I now use Viscious no fade braid. I'd suggest 40 or 50 on a baitcaster.

Throw that junk out and get Vicious No Fade Braid. Power pro is outdated.

Their reels were ok. For 30$ I'd try it.

No !!!!! You have msb brakes. That's 3 different brakes. The first is spool tension. It's the knob on the handle side. It adjusts spool bearing preload. Most beginners have it set so the lure drops slowly with rod straight out. I like mine loose with a hair of side to side play in the spool.the second is the dial on the palming side.it adjusts your magnets.it works during the entire cast. The third is your centrifugal.. it works at the front of the cast and backs off as the spool slows. Depending on where you are fluffing determines which brake to use.The idea of unbalanced braking is utter bs. It's just not noticable.

IMHO leaders are nothing but trouble. I'd go with like 10 pound braid in one of the better 8 strand braids. On spinning braid saves a lot of headaches. The line also has to be spoiled on in the right direction or it will jump off the spool.The braid is also thinner so the 10 pound will work on your rod.

get a lews bbi in a 6 speed and get a 7 -2 rod with a soft tip..

Straight Vicious No Fade Braid In 30 lb. Moss green. Fish rocks all the time if it frays I retie. No different from other lines. I am currently using 30 lb through rocks. Using football jigs saves a lot of lures .
