Black in Softbaits VS Hardbaits
That might have been a female bass that noticed your shirt and hat matched, and wanted to party ??

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
I'm sure it's similar to the stradic, with a couple more bearings (9+1). I'm happy that they are smooth, and that I couldn't get the stem to flex at all, so I doubt a bass can. I'm going to pick up an abu Veritas 6'6" MH mod-fast for jerkbaits to pair the low gear model with.

Here are 2 colors of the OSP 110 that I think will get struck...

Black in Softbaits VS Hardbaits
I have purchased a few black cranks this past year. Haven't thrown one yet, but I believe it would do well in both low and high visibility conditions.

Show off your Stuff
I have that model, but built with the IM blank. Yours looks like it has a longer handle (which would be nice) Mine was purchased back in 2016.

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
Received a few packages this week. Picked up handles and spools for my tat 100's from ali-exp. First order from there...shipping took a month. Ray's long cast spool (tat ct/100). About as deep as a 1012 or 105 sv spool. Next is my JLS order. I needed 4 spinning reels, so ordered 2 for now and a pile of baits. This reel wasn't on my radar until I saw JLS's cheap price on these '18 Essence ci4's ($183 at the time). Not regretting my decision...they are silky smooth and light. I had a few OSP baits already, but wanted to add/try several more. They are one of the hotter bait companys, and if they most colors in stock...you better jump on them. So I did ??. Blitz, blitz MR, and blitz DR. Blitz EX DR and blitz max DR Tiny blitz DR and DoLive craws 5"/4" and 1 3". Ready to try their jerkbaits as well (Durga 73mm/Asura 92.5mm/Varuna 110mm). 2 free 110's in there, too. Grabbed some Deps cranks as well...

kietech storage
The only 'special' box I have is for spinnerbaits. Everything else goes in plano thin 3700's (3701).

Daiwa Tatula SV TW vs Daiwa Tatula Elite vs Daiwa Tatula Special Addition
I guess the tat 80 and coastal 80 can swap spools. The coastal 80 with aluminum sideplate is getting a look from me.
-
Daiwa Tatula SV TW vs Daiwa Tatula Elite vs Daiwa Tatula Special Addition
The Elite is a Tatula 100 with a deep spool and aluminum side plate (vs graphite)

Storing Dyed Plastics In Plano Stowaways......??
I'm with Tom...I'll put dyed baits in a separate bag. I've got some ziplock 'snack' bags that aren't as tall as the standard bags and work well for this.

Black Label/Zoom WEC crank bait help
This, but in the pick of the 'slim DD' on TW....it looks like a round bill. May just be the pic. The Tapp is a hammer....

13 Fishing Concept C2
Yea...folks raved about the old C. It's a shame...

Tackle Trap Closing
I wonder if the exchange rate was part of their demise. A good portion of their business was jdm products.

13 Fishing Concept C2
I have a couple of concept A's I purchased in 2014. Been great. A few months ago I thought I might add another A or Try a C. Shopped around and read reviews. Apparently 13 fishing has come out with their own version of ci4/zaion material called 'iron carbon'. The concept A still uses an aluminum frame, but the C frame is made of the composite iron carbon material. Reviews of the new C are mixed at best. The A seems to still get good remarks, but it seems that 13 is trying to increase margins at the cost of quality.

Jig fishing: prefer braid or fluoro? Advantages of each?
I'm a slack line fisherman, so I use straight fluoro or Pline cxx.

Gotta love the JLS 'free gift'. Shipping usually costs less than the vision 110 he sends you. Is the Metanium smooth? I've read mixed feelings about it.

What Did I Do? - Dobyns UL SUF740c
You'd need to buy the bfs spool separetly. Adding a bfs spool from aliexpress is a cheap way to go bfs....you can use a reel you already have as well.
-
What Did I Do? - Dobyns UL SUF740c
I'd go with an alphas air or tat 80 w/ bfs spool and run 6lb copoly/fluoro or 10lb braid.

Update on the Walleye cheaters
We have seen cheaters before, but this incident has received more publicity than any past scandal. Tucker Carlson covered it on his show, saw it on CNN/HLN, and my local news covered it. These guys are absolutely ruined....in fishing and in life. Everyone you know or have met knows you are a POS

81. Gear Ratios
You can reel that 8.1 as fast or as slow as you need. I watched an episode of 'The Bass Pros' a few years ago, and Timmy Horton said he uses 8.1's for 'everything but large deep divers'. That sounded crazy to me at the time, but I'm using fast reels for most presentations now.

Dobyns Football Jig question
Gamakatsu jig hooks are the best. As said above, your rod should have enough power to set one.
