I believe there is something to using scents. Like others, I use MegaStrike and Pro Cure. I have seen plenty times when I added a scent I caught fish, maybe it was the scent or not. Anyway, I going to keep on using it because I think it does make a difference.

We really can fish year round in Mississippi. Most of the time January is the only month I don't fish, our coldest month.

I really could get by with 2 lures, a Ned bait and a crank bait.

I had done this years ago but forgot about it. Went out and tuned it, it was off some.

I use yellow braid on my spinning rigs. I change them every 2 years only because the yellow fades some. After a year I just take the braid off and reverse it so I will have fresh looking braid.

My fishing hole, Ross Barnett Reservoir has plenty of gators. I made a deal with them, I won't bother them if they don't bother me.

Don't feel bad, there are a lot of us in that same boat. To me this is a hard time of year to really catch them.

I think crappie is the best tasting fish but bass is number 2. I don't keep many in the last few years, guess I got lazy cleaning them.

Been getting up at least by 5am for almost 50 years. When I am at the ramp, I either fishing close by or waiting for good running light. I am only 7 minutes from my local reservoir ramp.

I quit fishing December 31 and start back January 1, ?.

My Dicks completely stopped fishing gear, can't find a hook no where. Never did buy much from Dicks, Academy is just 3 minutes away.

I have 4 Pfluegers, never had a problem. Probably will get the Supreme next.

I keep all my tackle in my boat. I have had some stick together but pulled them apart and they was fine. It gets pretty hot in Mississippi!!!

At the shortest setting, from the bottom of the hinge holding bracket to the bottom of the skeg is about 25 inches.

Love early morning top water. Most of the time it will be a Devils Horse or a Whopper Plopper, after that, a Bandit 100, and finally a worm.
