I use yellow braid on my spinning rigs. I change them every 2 years only because the yellow fades some. After a year I just take the braid off and reverse it so I will have fresh looking braid.

My fishing hole, Ross Barnett Reservoir has plenty of gators. I made a deal with them, I won't bother them if they don't bother me.

Don't feel bad, there are a lot of us in that same boat. To me this is a hard time of year to really catch them.

I think crappie is the best tasting fish but bass is number 2. I don't keep many in the last few years, guess I got lazy cleaning them.

Been getting up at least by 5am for almost 50 years. When I am at the ramp, I either fishing close by or waiting for good running light. I am only 7 minutes from my local reservoir ramp.

I quit fishing December 31 and start back January 1, ?.

My Dicks completely stopped fishing gear, can't find a hook no where. Never did buy much from Dicks, Academy is just 3 minutes away.

I keep all my tackle in my boat. I have had some stick together but pulled them apart and they was fine. It gets pretty hot in Mississippi!!!

At the shortest setting, from the bottom of the hinge holding bracket to the bottom of the skeg is about 25 inches.

Same here, all my rods are either 6'6" or 7". Bought a 7'6" and couldn't sell it fast enough.

Lews and Falcon, not really high priced rods but I like them and they get the job done.

I put Winn Grip Tape on several of my rods. I first put it on my spinning rods because in front of the reel was nothing but metal. Made if feel really good.

I guess 3 pounds to me is a nice bass. When I come home my wife always ask how many I caught and did I catch any nice ones. If I caught any over 3, that's what I tell her for the nice answer. I think my fishing thoughts have changed over time. When I first started fishing I was happy just to catch any size fish. As time went on I wanted to catch big fish. Now that I am in the later years, I am happy to catch a bunch of bass regardless of size. Of course if I catch some nice ones, that is that much better. This weeks "nice one".

Don't look too bad, I have used bondo on wood, don't see why it wouldn't work on plastic.
