Look at the Dobyns Sierra line of rods. They have 3 rods that are 6'8". I am thinking that the 683 model would be great for cranks. It is listed as a med/heavy but it is more like a med. They also have one model that is lighter that would also work.

16# test. The line I bought had a rough kinked type of feel, not smooth at all. You could actually hold it up to the light and see the roughness. When I spooled it up, I didn't notice it. For some reason I ran my finger up the line like checking for nicks and then I felt it.

All of my Dobyns and Daiwa rods were darker after sealing. Didn't really matter to me as long as its protecting the cork.

Last year was my best year in a long time. 80% of the bass I caught was on a crankbait. Plug knocker is a must.

Sniper will feel different coming off a 660yd spool compared to the smaller filler spools. With more line being wrapped on top of itself on the bulk spools, it does make it feel different. Same here, only a snap on trebles lures. Until last year, I was a dire hard never use a snap fisherman. Got to reading about lot of guys are using snaps so I decided to try it. Best season I ever had on cranks and I blame it on the snap. I would change lures more frequent if a certain crank or color was not working. Never had a line break or lure to come off. Snaps for me.

Tackle Warehouse sent me a second email saying to send the bad line back for a refund or replacement. Didn't have my return label since it was last November when I bought it. Call them and they are emailing me a return. Hats off to Tackle Warehouse!!!
