Current In A Reservoir
I have no thoughtsβ¦. Iβm growing a beard. Seriously, current is your friend. Current will help dictate how the fish position themselves. Current breaks are or should be identifiable and get priority when searching for fish. Fish seek current breaks to seek resting places and to wait for feeding opportunities. They like having the waitress bring the burger to them on roller skates while relaxing. Current moves bait. Intermittent current surges can generate feeding windows. Look for places where current is generated, dams, canal locks, feeder creeks, irrigation locks, flood control culverts and so on. Bring you bait with the flow. Thatβs natural. Tidal current is a different animal. The nice thing is you can time it. Outgoing after a high tide is the most productive. It pulls bait, condenses vegetation and positions the fish. Hope this helps.

Did One Bass Change Your Life?
Mine is not the first bass I ever caught. Itβs the first bass on a Texas rigged worm. It was the most eye opening bite Iβd ever had to that point. It truly changed the way I thought of a bass. Itβs fixed in my memory, which I have going for me.

In heavily stained water do you ever throw crank baits, and if so do you prefer straight chartreuse or chartreuse black back?
I donβt fish muddy water deeper than four feet. Although cranking is not my first choice, if rock is involved, a larger 2.0 size bait that has noise and a wide wobble can work. Water displacement is important so fish can sense it in their lateral line. These color patterns are about it for me.

Passing the torch.
My son and I watched my grandson play his last baseball game of the season yesterday. This was at the same field my son played at and coached his teams for three years. That was over thirty five years ago. My son and I made some special memories over those three years. It was a special day to see my boy watch his boy and it was time to pass the torch. Desmond had an incredible season in spite of having a split home. His mother has issues. But Desmondβs desire to play and his ability to grow as a player and teammate helped his mom to take a special interest in her son that she had not demonstrated until this year. Most rewarding was my sonβs commitment to see the healthy values of sports I taught him being emphasized and installed every day. My son works a schedule that did not permit him to go to Saturday games so it was Papaβs responsibility to fill in. What a joy. Desmond played well, is a great teammate, a good sport, dedicated and had so much fun. We have a short season to play fall ball and that looks promising. This experience was the best!

Does reel weight affect sensitivity of the rod?
Normally Iβm pretty sensitive of this topic.
