  1. Hey Allen, My color choices are more about the forage than water clarity. Almost anytime I’m tube fishing the water is fairly clear, 6 feet visibility or more. One color that is very effective is called Green Ugly. It’s an avocado green. Another is Buzzard Puke. This is a double dip with a blue inner and a coffee brown outer. Finally a Cinnamon with purple flake. These all mimic sculpin or crayfish. I’m a dragger when it comes to tubes. There you go.
  2. Randy, you can find the 2024 Tatula 100 for $120.01 on Amazon right now. I will take the Tat over the SLX A every time and I own both.
  3. It is not a moderate action. I’d refer to it as a regular action. I have a Tatula 100 on it with 20 J Floro.
  4. The Orochi Brailist has a nice jig action. To too fast but locks ups slightly deeper into the blank. It is overall heavy in weight, surprisingly for its price point and is ever so slightly tip heavy. Sensitivity is very good. The Levante Brailist is a bit slower but locks up nicely. Balance is pretty good with a 150 size reel. Foam split versus all cork. I like both frankly. The Levante will double nicely with larger soft swim baits like a 7 inch Magdraft. I think the Lavante is a better bang for the buck series.
  5. I’d like to add another observation to my previous comment. When fishing moving bait, ie, spinnerbaits, buzz baits, vibrating jigs, swim baits and other similar baits, the fish in essence sets the hook itself by the manner the fish strikes the bait. As an angler, I’m relegated to keep a taught line through the use of my rod and reeling. Fish strike and turn away in the strike process and that for ce of movement is ample force the obtain hook penetration.
  6. Ducks beat the Buckeyes.
  7. With the current hooks and rod actions, stretch is a non issue.
  8. I use white and soft chartreuse as well. I used to run a black Spence Scout and white grub with good results. If you are a co angler it comes in handy.
  9. Not fishing! I’m just giving up a trick I’ve used for decades. Don’t knock it until you try it grasshopper.
  10. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
  11. What size and color pattern Joe???!
  12. The lake is way down. Glenn is spot on. If you choose to put in at Mar Don you can run the face of the dam but watch the wind direction.
  13. Dobyns Sam Sobi. 724C for 143.99 from ALF. NFC Edge Delta 696C-1 Hybrid 149.99
  14. I don’t know where Bryan obtains his blanks. He added the PopMax and the Hot Lips recently, thus the order. The Hot Lips style is popular in my region. The jerkbait is a form copy of a Vision 110. The pattern is Pike Minnow or the infamous Columbia squawfish. The squarebills are form copies of the Megabass bait. The mid diver is a form copy of a Wiggle Wart.
  15. The photo doesn’t do justice to the patterns. Willamette Weapon out of Wilsonville Oregon. Bryan Chapman is one talented guy. He takes actual captured species of forage to base his patterns.
  16. It’s late in the season but I grabbed some new custom hard baits. The patterns are PNW staples.
  17. The sapphire craw has colors that have a warmouth coloring to me. We’ll see.
  18. I like everything except beets and cooked spinach. I could eat baked acorn squash five days a week. My favorite way to eat carrots is pickled with jalapeño peppers, onions and cilantro.
