Your Current Hard Jerk Bait Set Up ?
I use the same rod I throw crankbaits on. A 6' medium BPS Crankin Stick with a Lews BB1 in 5.1:1 gear ratio with 12# Sufix Siege mono.

Never again.
For ,me it would be the Hula Popper. Tried them 50 years ago and never got a bite on them. No need to try them again.

Aluminum or stainless steel props?
I think it was worth the expense. I ordered it from Cabelas and it cost somewhere around $235 if I remember right. I got it close to 20 years ago. My boat is a Tracker 175 with a 40 HP two cycle engine.

Buy out of Sportsman Warehouse comes apart.
Sportsmans warehouse is not a small mom and pop operation. They are a big box store. I would like to support our small local tackle store but I haven't been in there in almost two years. Every time I went in nobody was wearing a mask in this pandemic so I just started ordering what ever I needed.

Aluminum or stainless steel props?
I went with a S/S prop on my boat. It is only a 40 HP outboard. This did help me get a little more speed out of it. I have some aluminum props that have been rebuilt. I got tired of this which is why I went with S/S. So far it hasn't had to be rebuilt.

That's Women's Work!
For many years my wife did all the inside work and I took care of everything outside. Now we have split it up. I do the laundry, help put away dishes, and do some cleaning inside. I still mow and weed eat and run the snow blower. It used to be when I was still working and something needed to fixed around the house I would tell her I don't do service calls after 4 PM. When I woke up my tools and what needed to be repaired would be there in front of me. LOL. We do whatever we can to help each other out to take care of everything.

A Great Surprise !
I may not be explaining things the way I should. I only got paid for just a few vacation days I had not used in that year.

Another one bites the dust
It is getting close to the time for our boat show. Guess it has been cancelled. Can't for any info about it anywhere.

Revo guys -- which generation is your favorite?
I still use a Gen. 1 Revo S quite a bit. The only other ones I tried were the Gen. 3 Revo S. I had two of them and they were garbage. I got rid of them and haven't bought anything with the Abu Garcia name on it since then.

A Great Surprise !
When I retired I got paid for my unused vacation days. Also got paid for over 1600 hours of sick time I had not used. They just never let us have more than 18 vacation days built up in a year.

June Bug - The Color
I use Baby Brush Hogs, various Worms, and Super Hogs in June bug and have very good luck with them. This color works well in stained to murky water.

A Great Surprise !
It is great when everything works out for you the way you want it to. I retired after 21 years from working maintenance for our school district. It didn't matter how long you had been there you got 12 vacation days a year. You could carry over 6 days from one year to the next but you could never have more than 18 days a year. Any more than that and you lost them.

A-Jay's 4th Annual Ice Out / Open Water Countdown Thread ~
If you go bananas you will never be allowed on a boat again. LOL

Post a photo a day!
At one time I could have thrown some real confusion in there. I had a tape measure that was marked in 1/10" increments. It finally broke and got thrown away.

What’s Your Go-To Search Bait?
I usually start with a crankbait and a spinnerbait. I will alternate between the two. If no takers then I switch to soft plastics and jigs. I thought these moderators were supposed to have all the answers and be able to catch fish on any type of lure. Guess I got fooled again. LOL

Bring back one bait..
Rapala Rattlin Fat Rap. I would have picked the Rebel Deep Wee R but @king fisher beat me to it.

Buy out of Sportsman Warehouse comes apart.
Let me rephrase that. They need to lower their prices if they want my business. It's a rare day I go in there and actually buy something. I'm not going to support a business that has much higher prices on items I can get a lot cheaper elsewhere.

How fast is too fast?
B.A.S.S. had 16 pros come to this area one time to fish three lakes in three days. I went to one of the weigh ins. After seeing what they did I felt pretty good about my fishing. One of them even said if he had to fish this area as part of the tour he would quit. Once they started running the race course I left.

Early spring jig colors
I use PB&J and Black and Blue. Never had much luck with a Green Pumpkin jig.
