Can I live without sonar? Sure. Will I? No. Not on big water. I fished many many years BLIND. After installing and learning my electronics my fish numbers and size have greatly increased. I've marked and fished humps & structure that produce alot of fish for me, that I never knew existed prior. One example is a 10' deep hump that's surrounded by 90 - 100' of water that seems to always hold Spots. With my 360 Imaging I'm so much more efficient hitting a small rock pile in 30' of water or working a lure just outside a weed edge. My Winter vertical spoon fishing isn't possible without electronics.

For a 1 acre pond it's impressive. Took me years of removing fish to get them growing.That fish was out of my little pond, so I'm talking public water big fish baits. Pond fish don't really count, right??This a tough decision. A Bull Shad Wake Bull will likely pull my biggest daylight bass but a D & M quad buzzbait in black will be my night-time bait. Can we have a day & night bait??Columbia PFGIn 2022 I made 70 or 80 full day trips in the boat and 30 or 40 short(hour or two) bank fishing trips to my pond. I'd like to fish more but it takes my back several days to recover after riding waves in my Jon.I wear a neck gaiter in the cold and Columbia face/neck gaiter for the sun. I catch bigger fish if my face is covered and just look how the sun has bleached my beard, almost looks gray.

Welcome to the forumThe 100 MPH suit will keep your drawers dry but may be a bit warm in Spring. I fish a lightweight Frabill suit when it warm.
Excellent! Great fishing boat. Bit easier to stand and fish too.I get what you're saying, so we both may be crazy. I'd say "Be the Bait". But nobody wants to be a 2.75" TRD or Cover Scat.
