I'm certainly a minority here. Just walked around a bass pro shop for 6 hours with a friend who purchased a new bass boat and his cart was full, fish finders, transom trolling motor, whale tale just to name a few......he spent $1300. I walked up and down the aisles of endless baits and nothing caught my eye. Lol He said " what's your secret? ". Idk, everything in my tackle box gets wet.

Bass may not have a mind but they can pronounce the word. Every time I cast a lure I hear this gurgling sound from below the surface say'n......" mind " your own business.

Had a major boating accident " minor injuries " and lost all my high end Shimano reels, this was 15 years ago. Replaced all reels with various manufacturers from Abu Garcia, Lews, Diawa, Kastking, Pflueger and Shimano. All reels were/are in equivalent price range and the differences were negligible. Perhaps I'm not as detailed as others but there's simply not a significant difference in the equal price point range. If I were forced by gunpoint to be sensitive to detail then I'd likely grab Shimano once again followed by Abu Garcia but wouldn't skirm with the other offerings. Imo

Yep, life struggles, we all have them and some worse than others. We should all wake up each morning with a level of empathy for those less fortunate. My sister who I absolutely adore just informed me she has cancer which gave me a heavy heart. Be very thankful for the good times and be supportive to those less fortunate.

Already tying on baits and my buddy has de-winterized his boat for this upcoming heatwave. I'm still waiting for numbers to show up for my new boat. 3 days in the mid 60's upcoming here in western VA. ?

Hard for me to give good advice as the above posts. I was always married to my job, working long hours and every weekend for many years. Think I just loved working regardless of what that job was. I would advise against letting money becoming the driving force as a hard work ethic will most often spawn success regardless.

Have to admit, big time dog lover here but also like piece and serenity. Addressing issues with irresponsible dog owners have never went well in my experience. Calling the authorities without giving your name may be the best option for the sake of keeping piece with the neighbors.

Little confused here. Long gone are the days of bass boat ownership but the several I've owned over the years, have always had access to the hull......especially in the stern where my bilge pumps were located. Can you elaborate a little about the design of your boat?

Asked the same question to a friend who's owned many bass boats and he said mount the transducer on the trolling motor shaft with head spun for bow mount and a small 27ah gel battery to run electronics. Like you, I feel like I'm mechanically inclined but struggle with electronics and the desired orientation of such. My 55lb thrust bow mount is powered by a group 27.
