These baits work every year around here in early spring. Jerkbaits, swimjigs, Spinnerbaits and swimbaits on an underspin.

Revamped the inventory over a month ago, mainly soft plastics. Hopefully can get on the boat in February.

For me it was red wine. Detested any kind of wine growing up. As I've gotten older and seeing many studies showing the benefits of Red wine, the good stuff. I now drink a glass every single evening but much prefer a quality wine. Once you acquire a taste for wine, you can really taste the difference. I like a shot of 1800 Tequila from time to time as well.

Speaking of good steak. A friend of mine did filets on a cast iron skillet that were out of this world. I asked him for any tips and he replied " don't go from the refrigerator directly to the skillet. He said always let the steak get to room temperature before cooking. That's the first time I've heard this and now practice this myself.

Gotta admit Tennessee Boy, that was my entertainment for the day. Gotta throw this in there regarding technology advancement. I let this young man Hunt my property and he has cameras up everywhere that record, take pics and store data. He can print out a data sheet of which spot on the property has the highest percentage of harvesting the largest whitetail Buck. He started hunting here 2 years ago and both years have taken the largest buck on the property with minimal effort. Hmmm, under water stationary cameras.

I get asked all the time why I haven't bought a new bass boat since I've retired. My fishing partner beat me to it ? Affordability and justification are entirely different and even more so in the eyes of the beholder.

I'm the opposite of Socal but should be similar. Shallow timber, you won't beat a Spinnerbait. Deeper standing timber, I can't find a better bait than swim jigs and swimbaits on an underspin.

I'm retired and fish all over the state of VA and WV. The wife and I camp at various lakes each year, Smith mountain and Philpott are her favorites. I live right on the north fork of the Shenandoah and not far from the south fork. That's where I target Smallmouth. Oh, my oldest daughter lives in Roanoke.

Welcome to Bass Resources ? I'm a VA resident as well but on the west side. I hit Anna 3 times a year, an all-time favorite big lake in the state but 2 hr drive.

My standard rig is a 1/8 belly weighted screw lock swimbait hook. They are outstanding fish catchers in the clear water I fish. Excellent on an underspin as well. I'm kinda partial to Keitech.

Listen to mostly AC/DC, Zeppelin, ZZ top growing up but now prefer more Van Morrison type stuff. There was never a day I could listen to that deep growling, screaming raspy stuff. Lol I believe it's refered to as death metal, not 100% sure.

Throw all my WP,s on a med action moderate. I like a bend in the rod for these baits. Imho

We have an entirely different issue but still irritating. The UPS drivers know my wife's office and it's much more convenient to drop all packages there vs driving up the mountain to our residents......the delivery address. Problem is, now I have to drive to the wife's office to pick up all packages that are to bulky for her. So in reality, I'm a part-time UPS employee.

Zman makes a single Colorado finesse Spinnerbait that I throw often in clear water. I've thrown it with and without a skirt but never without a trailer. A trailer like a Keitech swimbait provides the resistance to stabilize the Spinnerbait. Nothing in this world troubles me more than a Spinnerbait running sideways ?

The issue with the Cowboys remains the same......Dak Prescott turnovers. Mr irrelevant has as many playoff wins as Dak after 2 games. That enormous contract may never reap any reward and such a great defense. Idk
