Spare prop - Solas?
The prop on my Mercury 75 4-stroke is a little dinged up (nothing major). I already had it repaired once and am thinking of getting a spare prop. I noticed Solas are a bit less expensive than Mercury props. Are they decent quality?

Accommodations made by an aging fisherman...
Good post. My interest in trailer steps has been rekindled.

Dogs And Coyotes
We lost 2 sheep to coyotes. In both cases it happened at night when our horses were in a distant pasture. And in both cases the coyotes ripped up the hind end of the sheep without killing them and then took off. We had to put them down. We've since gotten a mini donkey to deter the coyotes.

Garmin 93SV UHD Sticks in Cradle
I have 2 93sv's. Bought them 3 years ago. 1 of the units was tough to remove from the cradle almost from the start. Don't know why but eventually one of the connection pins broke off. Garmin replaced the unit and that one connects/disconnects without problems. Garmin customer service is great to deal with.

Inline spinner treble hooks
I love throwing inline spinners. Mostly 1/4 and 3/8 ounce Rooster Tails but I do not like the treble hooks they come with. Any thoughts on a good replacement treble? Brand/style/size?

Songs where the cover was better than original
Jimi Hendrix's cover of "All Along the Watchtower" is better than Bob Dylan's. I believe Dylan thinks so too.

New member of the "I forgot the drain plug" club, bilge float switch not working
I went out yesterday and about 1/2 mile from the ramp I realized I forgot to put in the drain plug. Ouch! It all ended well but it turned out the auto bilge float switch isn't working. I know it worked when I first bought the boat 3 years ago (Ranger RT178). The switch is not plugged up and the wiring looks ok. More investigating to do.

Drotto Latch vs. Boat2Trailer Latch?
I bought a Drotto last year. I works ok. I agree with the statement above that the boat has to be centered for its to work properly. I bought it because I didn't want to worry about the boat floating off the trailer a little as I climbed off to get on the bed of my truck (I fish alone a lot). I'm sure part of the problem was because I wasn't positioning the trailer at the correct depth.

Setting up your kayak
I love that.

Bow mount GPS
I have 2 Garmin 93sv units - 1 at the console and 1 at the bow. They are connected by an ethernet cable, no networking box needed.

Dropped seal from star tron into fuel tank
That was me. I haven't had any problems since it happened.
-
oops!
I was adding fuel stabilizer my boat when the cardboard like disc on the lid of the bottle fell out and went in the fuel tank. Is this going to block the fuel line/filter? Or is there some sort of screen before the filter? Do I need to disconnect the fuel line and try to fish this thing out?

The Beer Is Brewing, The Trash Is Flying, and The Race For The Pennant Is On!
I've been a Yankee fan since I was a kid. Still am. Went to college in Baltimore and lived there for 10 years after that and loved going to Memorial Stadium and Camden Yards. So glad to the O's doing well.

Chippewa Bay mid to late September?
I am considering a trip to the Chippewa Bay area some time during the last half of September. Good time to go?

Most Unusual Animal You've Encountered While Fishing.....??
20 years ago I was sitting in a float tube in a small lake in Idaho with no one else around. I looked up and saw a bear at the water's edge. We stared at each other for a minute or two and then he sauntered off. Problem was I had a 15 minute hike back to the ranch where we were staying. Obviously it turned out ok but I was a bit nervous to say the least.

@GreenPig is the Skrewball sweet? I'm not much for sweet whiskeys but that sounds interesting enough that I may try it.

Juniata River is RIDICULOUSLY Low
Deer flies drive me nuts. I found the only thing that keeps them away is a botanical fly repellant we use on our horses. https://spalding-labs.com/products/fly_control_products/fly_sprays/p/bye-bye-insects.aspx

What is your sunscreen of choice.?
I read a consumer reports type article a few years ago. They tested all kinds of brands. Surprisingly Walmart brand sunscreen scored near the top. I've been using it since reading that.

So I went to a lake
Nice. I've fished there several times with only a little success. Can be a tough lake.
