Today I caught my first 8" hudd fish... after over 100 hours fishing it over the years. I've caught fish on bigger baits but for some reason I could never get them on the traditional slow bottom crawl

Had my boss and his son over today . Primary goal was bream. The 2nd bream Alex hooked , as he had it almost to the dock , a bass clobbered the bream and he hooked the bass right in the corner of the

  • So I went fishing today, and caught a 9#. Scale bounced between 8-15 and 9-2, but let's call it a 9, shall we? NLMB trout eater.   Super slow rolling a 8" weedless on the bottom in about 15

Keep an eye to the sky @Pat Brown, we had some violent storms just roll thru and they have already made it to Carolina moving 50-60 mph

Yes, we got the storms in middle Tennessee earlier in the day. Temps dropped from 70's to 40's.

Muy frio!

Some of my best wading spots are under and around bridges. I quit wading several of them years ago for the above reason. They constantly have junkies living under them. They should ban narcan and let that problem sort itself out.

Yeah buddy!!! It was 59 at 2am when I got up for work, tomorrow morning it''l be about 20. Only for a day though, back into the 60's by the weekend. Lot's of warm rain overnight and today. Hopefully that influx will heat up the bite. Been TOUGH lately. I ain't complaining though, the water was soft all through Feb. Never seen that before.

@Pat Brown: I wonder if the bass felt the cold front coming and went on a feeding spree. Whatever the reason, they're beauties!

@Dogface  I’m sure you’ll be sharing some pictures soon 😉

No doubt but I've been out for 5 short trips this year including today and have not had a hit.  The good news is I'm getting to try out all the new stuff the monkey made me buy. The bad news is it ain't working. 😊

I went back to the spot I caught lots of fish yesterday and only got two today. It was right after a storm and the creek was muddy. Shad were everywhere and my line kept hitting them making them jump. Maybe they had too much real food and didn’t want a hook. It was extreme post front. On a positive note we whipped auburn! @AlabamaSpothunter……….

Made it out for a quick trip before a big storm rolls in. Nothing on big swimbaits but salvaged the day with finesse.

Yeah and I was nervous as heck when Auburn went up by five and stayed at five for a while. I need to stay away from basketball and keep fishing. Less strain on the inards!

@Blue Raider Bob, I was in the bldg, it was tense 😂 . Love it

Dalton went 0-5 in one stretch then started hitting bombs from the parking lot, along with a MAJOR PHI SLAMMA JAMMA on a perfect feed! You just can't coach that! They still need lots of work on free throws  😬

Those are some tanks y'all!  Beautiful fish and good memories with old friends.  Couldn't ask for a better way to spend time.

I had the same unit!  Rigged up to use in my canoe.  It was better than nothing, for sure.  But when we got the little bass boat I upgraded to a Garmin Echomap UHD 93sv.  It was like going from a musket to an AR-15!  lol

Had my boat in for service today. I was able to fish for a couple of hours when it was finished up.  I got on some ice cold giants.

Tried a couple of our church ponds early this morning. Nothing going on at the  pond I get bigger fish in, so I tried another pond and got 3 dinks on the Magnum speed worm. I enjoyed the suspense right before the hook set, then a slight letdown when I realized it was a dink…

Went home and cast a little before breakfast, and got a nicer one on the super fluke…

@riverratryan, do you or anyone else know why your bass's tail is so red? When you boat a musky, their tail and all their fins are red and I always thought it was due to stress.

From fanning a bed.

Musky is from stress.

Took me a while today, but managed a couple on a finesse jerkbait. Soon... Soon...

Also - threw a t-rig 5" senko and was letting it soak while I tied something else on. Went to start working it back, felt the mush, and thought "Hmm..."

This little beast sucked my bullet weight in and was not keen to give it back.
