Beautiful!!!! So is it like a jdm curado dc?

Is it possible for a rig to be sexy?

Yes. Yes it is! Gorgeous!

Care package from Lew's came in yesterday.

I warrantied a TP1 Black and one of their little panfish rods.

It took forever to get in touch with them on account of COVID, and their warehouse was pretty much bare even so.

That said, once we got the conversation started, they were incredibly good. Didn't have direct replacements in stock for either, so I got a comparable Mr Trout model for the little rod, and a free upgrade to a Custom for my TP1.

I gotta say I like the g-clutch handle.

Nice!  I only had to deal with lews one time over a reel that was just a lemon and they were super easy to deal with.  The even sent me some cool decals.

It was hard to get ahold of them but once I did they were all over it. Super pleased with the process and communication once we finally got started – not to mention the free upgrade. I didn't get anything but the rods, and I'm fine with that. They were probably out of them, too. Apparently their warehouse is just about sitting empty because of supply problems.

Roger's a mess. I need to look into finding him a 12 step program or something for his crippling cheez-it addiction. Still, he's a good boy. I'm rooting for him to finally catch a squirrel.

Which model?

Had to get this - the price was right. Used from AL and it appears almost pristine. Got it for $70 including tax and shipping.

Miraculously the rod survived. Or appears to have. We will find out this weekend once I set a few hooks

Wow that is amazing the way that tube looked!  I was sick to my stomach for you!

Been casually looking for one of these for at least a couple years but wasn't willing to pay the huge markups on ebay. Happened to randomly check out their site last weekend right as a drop happened and grabbed these three... pretty excited to spend some time throwing them.

Monkey has me working overtime.....

I was able to cross off several things that I have been eyeballing over the past year and beyond.  I have gone to pretty much all Plano Edge boxes.  I had some bad luck with the first one but since then they have been excellent.

I have about 5 pairs of Smith Sunglasses and like them all for different reasons but this is the pair I have been truly hunting for.  They are high contrast (all the time) and impact resistant lenses but they change intensity with available light.  So in low light everything seems brighter and in bright light they darken up and make everything clear and sharp without getting blinded by the sun.

The Yeti has been on my list for a while and I just couldn't bring myself to pay $300+ for the one I wanted so this was a compromise.  I had a gift card and a 30% coupon for Kittery Trading Post.  In the end it was about $175.  If filled with ice and a large ice saver, the ice will last about 2 days and the drinks are all most frozen.

New fishing jacket for fall and spring, Arc'teryx Gamma MX.  I haven't used it much but it's does the job and then some.  I like it but I think I should have gotten a Stormr.

And finally some real fishing stuff......  My favorite jig line, Abrazx and some TSI-321 oil.

Your price per bait will go way down, but I promise you won't be saving any money after you keep buying molds, hooks, wire inserts, paint, weedguards, stick on eyes, split rings, swivels, skirt material, lead, you get the idea.

I mean at that point why walk it to the door? Throw that sucker like a javelin, see how far it'll fly and drop kick the other one.

Stepping up my cold weather fishing game.

Just had a DX 744 delivered yesterday. Dobyns Champion Extreme 7’4 Heavy for you non-Dobyn-ers. Paired up with one of my 16’ Metaniums and some 16lb Gamma Edge. Can’t wait to get it out today! Primarily will be my jig and Texas rigged worm rod!

They are the Guides Choice with black frames and the Techlite Polarchromic Copper Mirror lenses.

I used them on the water for the first time today and they have been the best I have used so far.  We had clouds, cold rain, wind, and then sunshine.   They handled all of those situations.

What's your impression? I'm waiting on the XXL to come back into stock, at least I hope they will. They have the XXL in the full finger but not 1/2 right now.
