Thanks. I have another model already, but I can always use another pair because I’ve yet to find a pair that stay sharp for much more than one season. At $4ea I bought 2 of them.

Just wanted to drop in and say hi to you all. I'm not as active 'round these parts anymore. Haven't bought anything in about 5 month. Haven't had the boat out in almost 5 months. Really sucks, but it'

These scissors are awesome,  some walmarts carry them as well. If you haven't tried them do yourself a favor and pick up a pair or three.

To be fair I just got mine this year, so I can't speak on how long they'll stay sharp. I've tried many different braid shears and out of the package, these cut better than anything I've tried to this point, and at a fraction of the cost.

For my northern brethren:

Kittery has 25% off up to 3 qualifying items. You don't have to buy 3 items tho. I don't think Shimano or Daiwa work, but Megabass does.

And FishUSA has 20% off Rapala.

I’ve had a pair of Cudas going on 2 years and they’ve dulled. They’re like most scissors - they cut great at first but they need to be replaced often.

Appears to work with the Daiwa rods. Which makes the 2023 tatula elite rods $139 and you get a Huk shirt too.

I had 4 Tatula's (rods/reels) I bought so I thought I'd be getting 4 shirts. But reading the print it says only 2 per address. Bummer, but still a great deal nonetheless.

Well my name is on the order. And address obviously. You think they'd honor it if I sent in more from that address?

Oh I see. In my mind I was thinking a paper receipt that you could just do the entire shirt order in a family members name with. An online order with your name and address on the proof of purchase Probably wouldn’t work.

Got the Kastking $4 fluorokote line in today. It's in the older white boxes, not the latest packaging. At first glance, diameter for 17# I received is same as new stock diamter. Not having any experience with their line, unknown if any changes were made at the time the new packaging was released. Where I fish, no line is bulletproof......

Will see how it goes, loaded a reel for plastics....

Edit:

just noticed on the back of packing, the line diameter rows labeled in inches and millimeters have been reversed; an obvious typo.

I've had really bad luck with the lighter test fluorokote - anything under 10# has broken very easily.  I hope you have better luck with it than I.

Is this just an in-store deal? Didn't see anything on their site

Doesn't say anything on the placard, I did have an issue where it didn't ring up right and they had to fix it, but it was worth it

They say if you go there, that evening when you’re about to drift off to sleep Wayne LaPierre jumps out of the ceiling screeching “from your cold, dead hands!”

Dicks couldn't give away free tackle to get me in their stores.   The people who run Dick's hate people like me and have stated so on numerous occasions.   I like my 2A.

My problem with Dicks is that they are now "Dicks Clothing, Shoes, Golf, and oh yeah, we have some fishing stuff." I have yet to find anyone in the Fishing Department who knows anything about fishing. And a lot of times their ads show stuff that is not even available in the store, and is sold out online. I find that very sad, as the company was founded in Binghamton NY which is 25 miles from where I live. As a kid, one of my greatest joys was going to the original Dicks store and buying fishing gear. On another note, they are currently building what is touted to be the biggest Dicks store in the world in Binghamton. It will be interesting to see if they carry a better selection of fishing gear there.

They don’t even carry fishing stuff at ours.

This is pretty accurate at the ones here too. Fishing tackle isn’t what it used to be. But it’s still there in some fashion.

Honestly they would not be my first choice anyways for fishing tackle. For work out apparel, shoes, and other sports equipment, they are pretty good.

Dont really care if they sell firearms or ammo or not anymore. I wouldn’t be there for that anyways even if they sold it.
