As a postal worker, I cringe when I see rod rubes or any long parcels show up in battered shape. we still have to deliver them, but it is imperative that it be scanned visible damage by my employees so the tracking number will have that scan available making claims a lot easier.

I stopped by my local Wal-Mart this morning and found a few boxes of heavily discounted lures. Found the 3 pack of Rebel Pop-rs for $3, War Eagle Finesse Spinnerbaits for $2, and Strike King 2 pk Spin Heads for $2 to name just a few. I walked out with all 7 War Eagle Spinnerbaits. I tried to upload a pic, but Ive had trouble doing that lately. 

Looking at picking up a Cabelas rod in the next week to pair with a reel I received, probably next weekend. Does anyone happen to have a coupon code or Cabelas bucks code that they won’t be using? If it happens to be for a larger purchase price, I could find a family member to get stuff with me to use it. Hoping to save a little extra it’d be very much so appreciated if you don’t have a use for it, thanks!

Get some gift cards online to save up to an extra 15% off.  I buy them all the time when Cabela's has sales, got a couple of Curado 301E reels for like $140 each doing this.

I actually have a couple gift cards to use, otherwise I would’ve probably gotten the $100 for $80 on eBay card. Thanks for the recommendation though! Hopefully they send something out or run a 10% off sale between now and Monday 

BPS has free shipping no minimum. I picked up some 4" squirmin grubs I had wanted for a while but couldn't justify buying more from them. Also picked up that new KVD plano speed bag for plastics that the date on TW has now pushed out to the end of April for getting in.

The web site is a little maddening, but Cabelas has a lot of PowerPro on sale for around 25% off....and free shipping.

The problem is their "sale" price is Wal-Mart's every day price :).

Randomly decided to try a SPRO Little John MD @ Academy last week.  Found the receipt last night and noticed it had rung up @ $4.89 reg price.  

 

Went back today to grab a few more - they had caught the mispricing.  Wish I had paid more attention last week.

Me yesterday: "I don't really need a swimbait rod, the ZX will do, its just not ideal. Plus I don't have an extra deep spool reel and I bought the ZX for A-rigs/Swimbaits/Big Whopper Ploppers."

Your bait monkey is thrifty, mine says things like yes megabass, why not get the best and not have to buy it again.  Well now a regular reel will not do on a rod that costs that much, you need to be at least in the same league.  Pumped the brakes on a MB Lin 10 and settled for a ryoga 1016.

My bait monkey is maturing fast. 6 months ago I thought I was overequipped with a couple Veritas rods with PQ reels... now I have a full lineup of of Curados and Tatula SVs on Dobyns Champion and Tatula Elite Rods... and now I swear I keep hearing something whisper Steez and Destroyer.

The little ones seem to grow up so fast HAHAHAHAHAHH
