I know Quantum doesn't seem to be one of the top brands here, but I've gotten excellent service from almost every Quantum product I've had and I'm definitely willing to try one of their upper tier reels for that price!

Thanks.  I've got a bunch of Smoke reels, but haven't tried this.  I've no reason to believe this isn't a terrific deal, so I got one.  I love my Quantum reels; but the truly great thing about them IS that they don't get all the love....when they close out a line, the offers are extremely good.  I think I paid between $75 and $105 new for all my Smokes...don't really need a reel today, but...

I haven't received an email, but whenI went check my order it shows it was cancelled! I'm a little perturbed that I received NO notice!

Yep mines cancelled too. I get they ran out but what's bad is the reel is still showing available right now in the bargain cave

No email...but checked site...mine still says "backordered"...will be cancelled, I'm certain .  As someone who has spent most of the last 40 years in inventory management, I am simultaneously outraged and sympathetic

Cabelas has been doing that consistently for about 6 months now.  I actually called and talked to corporate about it.  They claim they are working on the system to prevent it.  We will see.  This has made me angry more times than I care to count.  Never used to happen.   Hmmmm, what changed?
