  • Two of my favorites .... Sierra Hull and Billy Strings, singing a Bill Monroe classic. I know this won't be most people's cup of tea, but I enjoy the talent.   We saw Sierra in concert last

You guys probably are not into it. Had an outside project I wanted to start and finish today. Want to fish at sun up for a couple of hours tomorrow. Didn’t want anything half butted and not completed for the weekend.

Listened to a couple hours of Neil Young and Crazy Horse Band live tunes. A fan. A favorite. But most people I know could care less about Neil Young and his tune. I’m a product of that time.

Good fishing.

7. I have always appreciated the music, but I the growl-yell vocals are so off-putting for me.  I can handle a line or short verse, but any more than a few seconds and I give up on a song.

I recently stumbled into this U.K. version for the first time.  It doesn't rock as well as the standard classic rock U.S. version....and it could benefit from more flute from the other.  But I find it a lot more interesting,  musically

Having a brain injury has been bittersweet for me. I have forgotten music that I have listened to countless times. The sweet part is finding and hearing them again feels a bit like hearing them for the first time.I get some memories flooding in and lots of emotions. This song is one I found again this week from years ago.

^8. Great song from great album.  Never listened to it in isolation....seems weird not to hear it in context of Mellon Collie.

Ernie Isley would hold his own against most any top rock guitarist.

Jymie Merritt - bass
Bobby Timmons - piano
Benny Golson - sax
Lee Morgan - trumpet
Art Blakey - drums

I did not like Slipknot when I first listened to em. The gateway song for me was “The Devil In I” because I really liked the chorus and some more melodic moments of the song. The more I listened to them, the less I minded the yelling and they’ve now become one of my favorite bands. There are a lot of explicit songs that I wouldn’t post here but love nonetheless.

I am very attracted to perceived novelty in music and I’ve heard nothing quite like Slipknot. Same goes for TOOL, Rammstein, Black Sabbath, etc.

That’s just me!

I taught myself how to play the bass line on this awesome song not too long ago. I’m playing bass for fun and it helps that I have an ear and know notes by their tone and imagine the fret board as a keyboard.

And this cool song is a far cry from the first song I taught myself on the bass, Stand By Me, lol.

Randy Houser has a new album coming out next week (I believe). He’s released a couple songs already which are pretty good tunes. I stumbled on this one today that’s a few years old. Like most of his music it’s something that’ll get your feet tapping to the beat. Dude has a pretty unique and powerful voice.
