I saw Boston at Alpine Valley in the mid 80's on their comeback tour. The girl I took to the show, I had known for a short time. We had fooled around a little here and there. She gave it up after the show.

I saw Stevie Ray Vaughn at Alpine the summer before he returned and crashed into the side of the hill.

  • Two of my favorites .... Sierra Hull and Billy Strings, singing a Bill Monroe classic. I know this won't be most people's cup of tea, but I enjoy the talent.   We saw Sierra in concert last

This is a beautiful rendition of The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.  Sit back and enjoy.

We could start the "pancakes and waffles" debate but this is in a foreign language so it is of no help with the discussion.

Who needs talent when you're eye-candy?

That was really good. Seeing the horn in that video brought to mind a memory from Henry Mancini, who was one bad dude. Pink Panther, Moon River, Baby Elephant Walk to name a few he’s composed.

But here’s another he wrote, and if you’re going to go all out on the brass, here you go

If you played video games in the 80s, you might recall the game called Spy Hunter. They used it in the game and how cool it would be to see more young folks learn these instruments.

In the early 90's, I worked with the singer/guitarist. We were truck drivers. He was a member of PG&E(Pacific gas and Electric) in the 1960's and formed a band in Chicago called Chicago Gas and Electric

I have always appreciated the music, but I the growl-yell vocals are so off-putting for me.  I can handle a line or short verse, but any more than a few seconds and I give up on a song.

I did not like Slipknot when I first listened to em. The gateway song for me was “The Devil In I” because I really liked the chorus and some more melodic moments of the song. The more I listened to them, the less I minded the yelling and they’ve now become one of my favorite bands.

I stumbled into this and was reminded of this thread. Despite the growling, these guys might find a place in my rotation.  I'm liking it right now.

I can get behind that. Nice, thanks for sharing. It’s kinda nu-metal, heavy on female vocals, some growling, and really guitar heavy. Sweet

Ive kind of mellowed out recently. If I’ve been listening to metal, it’s been mostly TOOL and Ive enjoyed some old country as well. I go through phases all the time
