He's one of the best storytellers I've heard. Very dark. Probably has 1000 songs on YouTube many of which are even darker. 

 

 

Couple of incredible instrumentalists that too few have even heard of: Craig Chaquico and Papa John Creach...the rest weren't bad, either....lol

 

For a couple short years between acid trip jams and some of the worst pop ever, this band cranked out some awesome music that sort of fell between the cracks.  I was 16 when they opened a concert with this and I still remember it like it was yesterday.

The entire album called church street blues is awesome, it even has a version of the Edmund Fitzgerald on it. The punch brothers also covered the entire album, sometimes I just listen to both albums all day
