Hi, In you opinion, what is the best squarebill for bass? Thanks

There's a balsa squarebill that I've only seen locally at a little tackle shop that comes through anything you can throw it in, which is one of the main things I look for in a squarebill. They're also $50 apiece and come with no hardware.

 

My most productive bait I've been using recently is the new Booyah Flex II. They have a really nice wide wobble and come through cover very well. Comes with good hooks and they cast very well even into the stiff wind I'm so often faced with. 

The $50 squarebill that Blue speaks of is probably a Dave's and they are outstanding.

If you want something a bit more reasonably priced in a balsa bait I would look at the WEC or Black label.

 In plastic, I really like the 6th Sense crush 50, runs great , nice paint and hardware.

 

Best is a relative term because I find myself reaching for different ones depending on depth and warble and flotation desired. The good thing is that there are many good ones and the 6th sense/Mann’s and dredgers ore ones I reach for most.

I really like the Xcite squarebill I got in one of my boxes. Works great along a rip rap dam I fish pretty often. Usually catch at least one or two fish with it and it’s crazy heavy, so it’s easy to cast even in the wind. 

 The Rapala Crankin Rap is a real good lure . I think they were recently discontinued . If they  show up  in the clearance bins , grab a few .

Lot's of good ones out there, but for the money it's hard to beat the Strike King KVD's.

Bam! Now we need a new microphone.

Storm stands are my favourite! Ill throw one all day if given the opportunity, priced very competitive and comes with great hardware and colour patterns. You can hear the rattles from 4 meters away when reeling it back to the boat.

In what colour?

All things considered the first one I grab is usually a Bomber Square A. Don't hear about them a lot but I like them and they cost half what a lot of the other brands do.

I am a big fan of the Strike King KVD model 1.5 and 2.5. I'll admit that I get more bites on the 1.5 but I'm not sure if that isn't just because I tend to throw the 1.5 more. I throw the delta red color in stained water and the yellow perch or natural shad in clear water. Hope that helps.

I've got one old square bill flat B that I'm sure I could fill the bathtub and pull a couple out with it...

I break my "don't own it if you're afraid to use it" rule with some of my old balsa baits. 

Lc 1.5 is great. SK1.5 and H2O CRS are cheaper alternatives.

 

The Baker is a great alternative especially in cold water since they suspend. Good colors on these too but the paint chips easily.

Ive got like every color only 2 that's not good. I love the RC squarebills also.
