A true legend and ambassador of the sport of bass fishing lost his battle with cancer. We lost one of the good ones today.

RIP Mr Hibdon. Condolences to his family and friends. One of my favorite "early" guys. I'm going to dig out some of my bugs and catch a few in his honor.

God grant that I live to fish until my dying day,
And when it comes to my last cast I humbly pray
When in the Lords safe landing net I am peacefully asleep,
That in his mercy I am judged as good enough to keep.

That's a shame....prayers to his family and friends.

When I was in younger, Guido Hibdon was the winner of the first Classic I remember watching/following.

RIP to a true legend in our sport!  Prayers and condolences to his family and friends!

R.I.P. He was indeed one of the good ones! Prayers for his family!

This is truly sad news.  All of us Missouri bass anglers take a lot of pride in Guido, his son Dion, and the story of the Guido bug.

Very sad news...My condolences to his family, friends, and fans.

Truly Sad .... R.I.P. Mr. Hibdon.

Guido was one of the real ground breakers in bass fishing. He used a spinning rod when many anglers didn't even own one. I'm saddened by his passing. He does define the term legend.
