Beer

Featured Replies

There’s nothing more that I love after a day of fishing than winding down with a nice cold brewski. It’s become a bit of a ritual for me.

What do you guys and gals like to imbibe on after(or during) a day on the water?

Water or ice tea.

I drink water while I'm fishing, maybe Gatorade if I'm feeling fancy.

I don't drink beer, but I do enjoy whiskey.

Same as Bluebasser except I don't drink whiskey.

Yep, this is the extent of it for me.

My daily liquid intake is coffee....coffee...water....water...coffee...water...water...coffee...water

I normally drink water or G2 while fishing.

Vodka, water and a squeeze of Lime when I am home in the Man Cave ... :D

Coffee to begin the day, water and Gatorade during and a couple Coors lights when I get home

Coffee through the day with some Ice Tea on the water

Evenings it's Murphy's Irish Stout or Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey depending on my mood.

Gimmie an Arnold Palmer while on the water along with Quest bar and all is good.

Water while on the water.

At home after a day on the water I like a Black Velvet and Coke Zero Sugar with a twist of lime. Sometimes instead I will have a Vodka and Tonic with a twist of lime or if I having a beer, Genesee Light.

Monster Rehab to start the day,I hate coffee. then water or Gatorade for the rest of the day.

Coffee in the AM, then water.  No alcohol in the boat, save that for when I'm safe at home.

Milk in the mornings. Water or ice tea the rest of the time with a Pepsi or Mountain Dew once in awhile.

After a nice hot day on the water (hot temps, that is)

and only at home, I might down a Bud Light Platinum.

If I've made a run to Total Wine, it might be some Yeti,

or other tasty stout brew. Or some cab or merlot.

Maybe....

But on the water, bottled water, and coffee.

A whole lot of coffee in the morning. Water while I’m fishing. Tea or Gatorade when I’m done.

I never understood those that bring a bunch of beer fishing.  Maybe a fitth of vodka ice fishing because it's freezing cold and it's booring.  After a long day on the water back at the cabin  or at home a dark beer is preferred.  Wise acre makes some tasty stuff.  A bass ale is always a safe choice.

Coffee to start the day, black xtra strength. Gatorade on the water. Molson red  or Labatts blue once the boat is in the garage.

A coffee start, water in the boat then either Rickards Red or Keith’s Red, there also some great craft brews around here too, like Muskoka cream ale ?

Yeah, I can’t really drink and fish at the same time, it just gets warm on me. I’ve had a beer or two prior to going out, but it affects my timing too much.

And agreed on the Wiseacre. Check out the newest brewery in Memphis—Crosstown. They’re already canning their blond(Siren) and their IPA(Traffic). Also Meddlesome(in Cordova) 201 Hoplar IPA won best beer in Memphis a couple weeks ago. They don’t package their beer yet, but their stuff is on tap all over Memphis and surrounding suburbs.

Coffee first thing in the morning and on the way to the ramp. Once on the water and fishing; orange juice, Powerade/Gatorade, Diet Coke and water. The flask in the boat’s glovebox has Scotch, to celebrate a good day once the boat is trailered. And I really enjoy my beer ice cold while I’m grilling a thick ribeye....
