REMEMBER THESE

Featured Replies

Going through some boxes in Bass Central (man cave) last night and found these. The tin hooks were not that great, but the lure caught fish.

I use to use those a lot in farm ponds . It was the first bass lure I ever bought .Quit using them when I discovered bait casting gear . I still use the Rattlin Thin-Fin. They are heavier and cast well .

Storm Thin N, stock hooks on those were junk.

Yep, have four of them.

I like to use them as a top-water  twitch bait or reeled just under the surface .

Caught a lot of walleye many years back on a fly-in trip in Canada. The regular (smaller) size weighed 1/3 oz. I think...

I have 3 or 4 of those in the “antique” lure box.

Thin Fin cast like a patato chip, good lures!

I still have some and one of the Thin Fin shiners too. Tom's right, the Thin Fin is one of the worst casting lures I've ever used, but they do work well.

I have 3 that oddly I never fished. The purple pearl one looks like money, and is a good clear water color. I will have to give mine a toss this summer, assuming I can find them;)

Nope. I don't believe I've ever seen one in a store.

I've aquired several of those over the years via yard sale tackle boxes and lure lots on eBay. Sadly I've neglected them too but I'll try to remedy that soon!

Those will Bring decent $$$$ from the southern Lake Michigan guys.   They use them for trolling for coho, browns, and steel head.  For some reason they like the originals and not after storm was bought out

Its funny but when I was a bank fisherman , the Thin Fin was a top shelf lure. When I became a boat angler I havent caught anything with them . Dont even know if I still have one .
