Buzzbait - mainly because I haven't fished them much

I think I saw that you had mentioned that somewhere in another thread, and that is partly why I started this thread. Well, that and to confess that I had never caught a fish on a Senko, and RW even made a post about how if you just can't seem to catch a bass, to get a Senko in #194 (I have the #297 which is as close to that as you can get IMHO) and fish it as he prescribes.

And I haven't caught a lot on buzzbaits, but on one particular trip to TX they were on the money.

That’s about how long it took me to finally get my first glide bait fish. Then something happened, I was BS’ing with some guy in a pontoon boat and had been taking my hand off the reel to point and an

I’m going to quit reading this thread because thanks to some of you I will add Carolina rig, Ned rig, and Whopper Plopper to my ever growing list. ?

When Whopper Ploppers first came out, it seemed like cheating. But the last couple years I can't buy a keeper bite on one. It makes me feel like every single bass over 12" has been caught by one and they all vowed to never again bite one.

Rat-L-trap.

Its the only one left in my arsenal that has never gotten bit.

Anything I was actually trying to catch one on.

Crazy to see so many of my top producers on other people's list!  But my answer will blow a lot of people away too so...

Jerkbait.

Jigging spoon for this guy. Although I’ve never tried so does that count?

I haven't caught anything on an A-rig or on a large swimbait. Oh - and a plain, soft plastic craw. I catch plenty with craw trailers, but never when throwing them on a hook and fishing them solo.

Red Eye Shad lipless crankbait. I've got 4 or 5 other different lipless crankbait brands that all have caught fish but the only thing I hooked on a RES was my hand...don't ask

Well, it does ignore the "try as I might" portion of the question. Surely there is something, or maybe not  ?

Have dozens of bags of them. Know they are a good worm. Feel they will get bit. But have not caught numbers and quality of bass on an Iovino Worm.

If you said you had caught a bass on something you never put in the water I would have nominated you for President of the United States.

@TnRiver46 the 4"Dead Ringer on a shakeyhead or tx rigged had been a staple for.me for years.

I won’t add anything I haven’t seriously fished with, as it’s a no-brainer I haven’t caught anything on those lol.

On lures I fished a few or more times, I’d have to say a jig and craw. I’ve caught bass (not many) on jigs with Keitech trailers, but never on a craw. Maybe due to fishing ponds? Then again, I’m not that experienced with jigs.

But so far this year I’ve caught my first bass on:

Topwater- Whopper Plopper 90

Spinnerbait- I think it was a War Eagle

Plastics- TR and WR Senkos; Zoom Tricks and Mag 2’s; Mann’s Jelly Worm

Jig- some old jigs I’ve had for 40+ years lol

All-in-all I can’t complain!

Try as I might, never have I ever caught a bass on a    day on the water

Buzzbait is the popular lure that I've literally never caught a bass on because it doesn't work out for me.

Spinnerbaits and bladed jigs I have caught bass on but it's so few and far between that I've pretty much given up on them. I can throw squarebills, lipless crankbaits, swim jigs, swimbaits etc and they get munched but spinnerbaits and bladed jigs repulse the bass when it's I who am throwing them.

Chatterbait. Everyone and their dogs catch all kinds of fish on them, but they just don't work for me.

Ned Rig, wacky rig, Rattle Trap, Hula Popper, drop shot, and a rare day when I catch one on a Chatter Bait. Never caught anything on Yum soft plastics I tried years ago.

That would not have been a bait I guessed to be your nemesis, but bass fishing can be a cruel mistress.

Texas rigged worm.  I have caught bass on worms, weightless(Texas rigged without a sinker) wacky, Carolina, split shot, and on a jig or shaky head.  I have caught bass on creature baits and craws Texas rigged, but never on a regular Texas rigged worm.  I know I just admitted to the ultimate crime in bass fishing.  Please don't send the bass police to come take my crankbaits, and spinnerbaits away.  I promise to catch a T rigged bass before the end of the year.
