I hope that works out for you friend.

Thanks,it was a headache, but all was fixed.  That happened many years ago.  I've been through two other boats since. ;)

There were many times when I REALLY wished the North Atlantic worked like that ~

To echo @jbsoonerfan I absolutely hate the wind.

When your 10 year old bounces from the front deck to the back and you tell him to stop and he trips on the bench seat and you hear “oh no” only to look back and see your (not his) pitching set up fading into the abyss.

Biting insects ruin a day faster then anything for me.  I am going to breakdown and get a head net this year.

This .     Mosquitos having  a feast out of me and the insect repellant is at home .

Shoot I can’t think of what would ruin a day of fishing, medical emergency or drowning is all I can come up with.  I found a body in the water once, but I guess his family was glad I found him. I also saw a truck and boat sink at the ramp, that would sure ruin it

Those days are definitely times for finesse presentations. You really try to drive the hook home while fishing a frog and you may really have an issue!

One word. Thermocell!

There are some days where I am just not with it at all or nothing is going well. It's like the fishing universe is against me :) most days I am good, no wind knots, no major backlashes, catching fish, having fun, others not so much.

I try to avoid fishing when certain weather conditions exist like high winds, really hot temps, or sweltering humidity because I know I'm going to be miserable out there in it anyways.

People going way to slow launching or loading their boat when there's a line of 10 others bothers me.  Get your sh** ready before you use the ramp.

Recreational boaters seem to be a problem on certain lakes at certain times of the year, but the absolute worst ones are wake boats.  Those massive waves damage shorelines and send swells right over the bow/gunnel sometimes.  And they usually go by blaring annoying loud rap music too.  Its gotten to be so bad here at times that there's new legislation being considered under state law that would ban them anywhere within 500 feet of a shoreline or another watercraft.

wake boats and skiers

This one is easy- when something breaks in your boat or you hit something with your boat or motor.

That's what I tell Carolann ?

Sometimes she buys it, sometimes I get that look!

Lot of things mentioned here that irrigate me to no end. However the one thing that will ruin a trip for me  is a broken rod. Especially if I've got to replace it at retail when I got it on sale.

Thank you. You made my day.   ?                         jj

Me.  I can deal with most issues.  I kayak fish and what can really ruin my day is my own state of mind.  If I keep my head on the water instead of at home or at work, I'm good.  I avoid waters that allow gas engines because, well most boaters (not all) are an inconsiderate lot.

By far the worst thing in fishing is obnoxious greedy people who follow the bent rod pattern. If you see someone fishing alone or with their Wife they most likely have no interest in you joining them. Finding your own spot and catching your own fish is much more rewarding than copying someone else at least it is for true Outdoorsman.

Stupid, malicious and inconsiderate idiots bother me most.

I find it is best to not talk to them, ignore them and go to another fishing location. My fishing time is for relaxing, spending time in the outdoors, and to catch fish.

I once saw a boat lying on the boat ramp . I think that ruined his day . Another time I met a guy at the ramp and someone done stole his trailer !

Having mechanical problems out in the middle of the lake, and having to row back to the ramp while the wind is blowing in the other direction.
