Most consistent color

Featured Replies

We all know when it comes to fishing for bass you can catch them on pretty much any color soft plastic. If you had to think about it, of all the soft plastic lure types, what color gives you consistent results, at any time of the year? For me, the most successful and effective color has been junebug. On sunny days or close to sunset it didn't seem to matter.

Green pumpkin or June bug..if I had to choose 1 it would be GP.

Everything else being equal, I'd have to go with green pumpkin.

I'll have to say purple/grape colors. These have worked fo me for a long time.

So many different types of soft plastics, it's hard to narrow down one color. For me; Worms would be purple, jig trailers black and blue, tubes smoke, grubs white, stick worms green pumpkin.........I could go on and on.

If you are in Florida the most popular soft plastic color is June Bug. Black with blue highlites is popular as jig trailers and green pumpkin everywhere.

None of those colors are my favorite Cinnamon with purple or neon blue blood line for soft plastics work in SoCal lakes for decades.

I was very close to saying that also! I have had a lot of luck with the grape "Charlie's worms" 6 or 8 inch ribbon tail worm for a long time. They smell great too, almost good enough to eat...

Roboworms Oxblood w/lite red flake = cinnamon purple blood line, Peoples worm = Cinnamon with Blue neon blood line.

My most consistent color is Junebug. Green Pumpkin Goby has been making a run for the title.

Black.  I believe it's contrast deal and the dark color offers contrast under different lighting and water clarity.  Blue or purple flake boosts my confidence.

Some variation of green pumpkin. I don't use regular GP very often, but all the GP flake colors. Not sure I have a favorite, kind of whichever one I grab first.

Aren't those pretty much the same thing?  watermelon a bit lighter?

Definitely Green Pumpkin, that is the one color that the fish in my lakes really love.

Black and blue fleck

Junebug

Green pumpkin

Grape

Watermelon red fleck

These are my top producers.

Okeechobee Craw has been my absolute best color producer.

I do like the watermelon's and pumpkins as well, but If I had to grab one color and put money on it, I would grab Okeechobee Craw, or the version of that in a specific company.

Black and blue or watermelon for me
