All good choices so far but the ratltrap in the top right and a couple of these swim jigs/tremors would do it for me.

  • I think I’ve filleted redears that size…….   To truly match the hatch, just fling that bluegill that you caught right back out there

  • A tarnished gold and copper blade with a barred skirt resembles sun-fish . I've caught hundreds of bass on these blades . I just keep adding the old blades to new baits . This is my secret   never bef

Chatterbait in Bream no doubt.....and I have a swimbait that looks exactly like that lol.

Something about the "pulsing" action really drives big fish crazy, and I imagine it has something to do with the vibrations larger sized Bream and Crappie put off.

Brand name Chatterbait?

I think I’ve seen some swim baits that are close. Do you know which one you have?

also what reel is that it’s shiny

I'll take a pic of the bait, it's some custom high dollar swimbait I'm too afraid to throw lol.

The Chatterbait is the 3/8th oz ZMan Weedless series in Breaking Bream.   I use a Lake Fork Magic Shad in Albino on the back, and then spike the tail chartreuse like a bream has.    It's dynamite for bigger fish.

The reel is a JDM Daiwa Zillion SV TW 1000.

Okay so I went down and found the bait I was talking about, along with a few others I think would be great as well depending on water color/clarity

Mattlures is who makes this nice one.   Thing is huge, and unless somebody has DD fish swimming beneath them, kind of pointless to throw imo.   Ironically I have DD Bass in the main lake I fish, but just don't want to lose it haha.

Jackall Gantarel Jr., Hudd Gill, or a Savage Gear Gill.

Swimjig, swimbait, bigger squarebill like a 2.5

I think the smaller one is a Deps?  I’ve caught fish on the Ganatrel. Not so much one Deps.

Thank you all

I’m learning about what to use when and where

I figured here this would be a decent start, the encouraging thing is that a lot of what you guys said is what I had been thinking

especially the swim jigs with trailers.

and @TnRiver46 I considered it briefly.lol

I pour my own and got these from Janns Netcraft . 4.5 size . They are the cheapest brass ones they sell .

When it got tarnished a little bit , I rubbed it down with Brasso . That shined it up    before taking  on this bluegill looking patina after a little use .

Just saw the new Sleeper Gills at my local tackle shop......OP you should give these a good look.   Pricey but they looked fantastic, and the size seemed perfect on them to catch both big and regular fish.
