Bob, I've done some outdoor writing. You could get published, I think, with enough persistence. As a fisher, you already possess persistence, and you also possess the memory for fine details.

I'm reading "At the Loch of the Green Corrie" right now. I urge you to buy it and savor it. It's about three men who hike to a lake in the highlands of Scotland because a dead poet suggested it. Like you, Andrew Greig, the author, takes you along, letting you hike beside him and loft flies to those very same trout.

I have read that book too, Katie. Have you read "The River Why"?  David James Duncan is the author.

I own it, Mickey, but I haven't read it...yet. I'm assuming I should, right?

That’s a great book! I’m not much of a reader but I enjoyed that one

I posted this in my last report but thought it would suit here too. IMG_2024-05-12-053731.jpeg.e07453ad44614b8db9a35da4537b44b7.jpeg

My usual spot at Roberts plus the entry to possum kingdom. Still hasn't gotten old

@thediscochef: Your fishing hole has the best name and I can't imagine a better one.

@ol'crickety I've got one that is at least a close second. Possum Ridge state park has a boat ramp I use some. I will try to get a picture the next I go down there.

Possum Anything and I'm smitten.

The pier I usually fish is underwater and barricaded by tpwd

All the local lakes are so full I can barely get to my favorite spots

The ridge of high pressure sitting over Mexico for weeks is expected to drift north into Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana next week. The dreaded “heat dome” is on its way.

Honestly I'm both ready for it but also dreading it. We've had peeks of it this week but I think it's gonna be a real hot summer. At the very least the early heat indices are going to be high given how saturated everything is

Lake Normandy in middle Tennessee. Normandy is a hill land Corp of engineer lake of about 3300 acres. This lake in this picture is shown winter pool. Beautiful lake during the week, not so much weekend.

It is beautiful, Bob.

One of my favorite places to be, Adirondacks.

A buddy and I go up there in June, so much water and so little time, we camp and hit a different lake every day.

It's rare we see anyone else fishing.
