So we all know the story of the lady who sued McDonald's because her coffee was too hot, so now McDonald's coffee needs a label that says 'hot'.

 

My question is, what happened here that this company had to put this first warning on there?! ?

Do not place this product in your mouth.  Gee whiz ! That’s kinda like those road signs that say “obey all traffic signs “. DUH , otay. 

Somebody took the “think like a fish” line a bit too far it looks like 

One of my favorite signs is a road sign that says "Limited Sight Distance".....Oh, so THAT explains why I can't see very far ahead!  Do they really have to put up a sign for that? Just how stupid has the general public become? Years ago car manuals told you how do things like change the oil or adjust the valves. Now days they have warnings to not drink the contents of the battery or radiator. I am beginning to despair for the human race.

Some people get desperate when they forget to pack a lunch. Especially if there's Bait Fuel on it! 

 

 

There are some ridiculous warning labels out there.  Years ago there was a picture of the label on a superman Halloween costume going around the internet.  It said, "Warning! Wearing this garment may not enable you to fly."  I don't think it was a joke either.  

The label could also include not for sale or use in States with Lead Ban like New York.

It should read.

       This company is not responsible for the users, lack of ability to use said product in the way it was designed to catch large bass.

There's crazy warning labels on all kinds of stuff.  I've got a little butane torch I use for heat shrink sleeves with wiring.  It has a label that reads "keep away from fire and flame".    Every time I light it I get a little nervous.  

It’s not so much that people are stupid, more so that they are far too litigious and nobody wants to financially lose their &$$ getting sued 

Anyone that dumb would never be bothered to read a warning label.

I agree. The details that often get left out of this story tell a much different picture of what the urban legend has become. 

those warning labels are not on there for the smarter segment of our population.  in general, this applies to most warnings.   they dont even register on my radar.  i'm not mad about them at all.  they are put there for the total imbecile.

It's a requirement by the state of California, companies put them on all their packaging rather than print CA approved versions, it's in all sorts of things not just tackle, in this case it's because of lead, but there is a long list of substances and chemicals.

Yeah their coffee is nuclear hot. I drink coffee as soon as it’s done dripping at home but I ain’t about to drink it from McD’s as soon as they hand it to me
