ICAST 2023

Featured Replies

Anyone have any info on what's on the horizon for new fishing tackle? I found some info on Fenwick revamping their rods. I would love to know if Shimano has anything up their sleeve. The monkey is getting restless, I'm hoping some new stuff can calm him down. If you have any info please post here.

I was told Croix had new Bass Mojo rods on the horizon. Not sure if they'll debut at iCast tho.

All I really want or expect is for to Shimano to release the 280SF big swimbait, the big brother to the 190SF.

If Daiwa wants to raid my wallet, they'll come out with a new Steez SV TW, I'm envisioning a perfected Zillion SV TW G.

BFS rods and reels and lures from mfg's, please. Sure would like more options in the U.S. than having to order overseas.

And, make them affordable too!

So when Berkley actually reads about this a comes up with a Max Scent bobber stopper called the booger or the blackhead, remember where you heard it first!  Bass Resource!  That should bring Glenn’s stock up.?

What prominent lure will they rip off next? So far they've done the chatterbait, vision 110, magdraft, and whopper plopper. R&D team hard at work waiting on other companies to make new stuff they can steal ?

I read the Ultrex is going brushless.

What are the specific advantages of going to a brushless trolling motor ?

Brushes wear out and if you get water in there, they can corrode.

Everybody copies new bait styles, but nobody has been able to mimic powerbait.

I'd love to 'Release the Kraken'!

I suspect we will be seeing a revamped version of the Evergreen/Daiwa Combat sticks. Hopefully they drop those horrid Fuji ACS reel seats...

63, 75, and 93” shafts! Sounds like the Garmin Kraken is geared towards multi species and salt water anglers.

Still sounds like a cool trolling motor.

Either that or Olympic Pole Vaulters ~

Missile could've been a little more subtle with their Cover Scat ripoff. ?

I think there's a new Mojo Bass on the horizon, but I've been seeing the BassX on sale everywhere as well. They just came out with that new model a few years ago. I wonder if they're gonna change it up. Maybe that hideous color they decided to use hurt sales? Mojo Bass has been around for a much longer time...they're overdue for a refresh.
