Jeeze now I feel like even MORE of a fishing failure ?.

Only thing I've ever been able to catch with a Whopper Plopper is a tree and some poor guys dock!

Throw it in the middle of the spawn over a spawning flat, I guess? I don’t know, the late @Deleted account told me to. He was kind of right. Caught 2 decent and lost a humungo one… just didn’t hook it good (fish story and I’m sticking to it)

@LrgmouthShad ahh it's fine. I've used it on no pressure lakes and average lakes and it's just not my lure. Give me a walking bait or jitterbug and I'm golden!

I'm pleased to know the truth about Lake Menderchuck now, but I've been thinking on and off all day about why Google never pointed me towards Zona when I have previously searched this lake up to get an idea of what A-Jay is fishing for those big beautiful brownies. ?

Menderchuck is in my home town ?

Lake Menderchuck is EverylakeUSA. Just got to figure it out.

I will now ruin the joke by explaining it:

Originated from a Zona Live episode he filmed in Michigan a number of years back. Zona uses it as a stand-in word for a "not-to-be-named" lake he was fishing on, and they caught a whole bunch of very large pre-spawners.

Because the word is funny and sounds like it could almost be a real place, it just stuck around here as a name for any other secret body of water with big fish.

Won’t lie. First time I heard it I tryed googling it. That was a very diappointing search. Then it dawned on me, I’ve been fishing Menderflow river my whole life. ?

By the way I meant to ask, what made you decide to do videos again? I remember you posted one like a month ago.

Thanks for asking.

Short answer, I like doing them and life is short.

Supplemental infoNever stopped recording my fishing

however recently I've been being semi-selective on what is posted publicly.

Future Plans and recommendations: Spent the last 2 months 'scouting' a new to me

version of Lake Menderchuck and it's a fairly huge body of water.

The YT stalkers will have their work cut for them, but so will I.

Best case scenario.

Finally, during my 'last season' on the water with the Pro-V Bass,

and sadly there will be one, all my cards will be face up.

Going out in a blaze of glory.

Not sure at this point but definitely down grading whatever it is.

It's the OG way.

I'm not trying to be nosey or annoying so tell me if I am and I'll stop pestering you, and sorry if you already posted this elsewhere, but what made you decide to do that? If it's personal sorry.

Life is full of cross roads but we don't always know when or 'see them coming'.

Doesn't change the inevitable.

Thinking about and deciding what I will do (in advance) when the time comes,

has made the decisions a little less of a struggle.

Still often a hard pill to swallow but it helps keep me present.

Life is the ultimate challenge.

and this post is exactly why it is named Lake Menderchuck

I see the point.

In my case it was genuine curiosity. I live nowhere near there, will likely never be up that way, and I don't even drive. I look up a lot of lakes the members talk about.

BUT, others definitely look them up to actually fish them.

I don't like to share either. Humans consistently ruin everything.

I have no area I fish like this. Mostly because I do not have the skill set to catch.

Me too! I call it the Dead Sea. Everything in it must’ve died because I didn’t catch anything in it. There’s plenty of them around my area.

You know something I missed?  April 27 was his last visit. I miss his random replies.

I was wondering what happened to him. Does anyone know?

@TnRiver46 @gimruis I had a few PMs with @Deleted account. Seemed like a good man, funny, and every so often he’d make up his mind to be helpful to someone (not always, lol) and you’d realize that he really knew what he was talking about. It’s why I outright started asking for his opinions on stuff

He definitely had interesting posts.  Not to mention his profile photo was a skunk.  Literally.

Still I wonder if Menderchuck is close to lake Voldemort, the lake that can't be named ?

  • 1 year later...

So it’s Lake Bankson? South-west Michigan is what they’ve said numerous times on Zona-Live and I believe it’s Lake Bankson.
