Today, @Bluebasser86 (Clayton) is fishing the Bassmaster Kayak Classic on Lake Fork!  This is his 2nd appearance in this prestigious event.  Last year, he briefly lead it, and ultimately took 15th out of more than 150 contenders.

 

This year, it's even more difficult.  High winds changed the multi-day event into one mega-marathon day....11 hours of competition!

 

So right now, he's out there slugging away at it.  He's had a phenomenal practice period, boating several over 8lbs, so he's in a good position to take the win!

 

As I'm writing this, he's in 15th.  Go Clayton GO!!

It was working, but now it says it's offline.

I wish that had Basstrack for this. I remember back a few years ago watching @everythingthatswims fish in the college final live and it coming down to the weighin. A lot of on here were watching and posting. That was a lot of fun!

Well, the tournament is long over and Bassmaster hasn't fixed their website.  I guess they don't think it's important.

 

I know how Clayton did, but I'll let him jump in and tell us how it went in his own words.

This exact same thing happened last year. The tournament has been over for well over 12 hours and they hadn’t posted the results. Come on Bassmaster!

No clue why the results aren't up yet.  Maybe challenges of fish close to top of leaderboard.    Or maybe they are saving the drama for stage show today 

Hope it was fun Clayton - boating a few 8s in practice sounds like an incredible practice and experience and even if you didn't take the W - that's gotta feel amazing.
