Online Lure Retailers?

Featured Replies

I will preface this by saying I have absolutely no issues with Tackle Warehouse. I am a repeat and happy customer.

Are there other places that sell lures? I am only aware of Bass Pro Shops and Tackle Warehouse for online lure retail. I'm just curious as to what's there.

I just get stuff from TW and BP, Unless it is hand made or JDM. They have everything I need and price are very good at BP. Just add stuff to your wishlist in TW and get them on promotions, You can't go wrong with them.

Discount Tackle, Tackle Direct, The Hook Up Tackle Shop, another site, Outdoor Pro Shop (aka ***), and The Bass Hole along with those mentioned above are quality tackle shops

*Fishermans Warehouse

Siebert Outdoors. Carries more than just jigs.

Omnia fishing. A place pretty local to me that carries a bunch of stuff.

I second Omnia. They are about 4 miles from me. They have a unique business model.

I know the head marketing guy there from a previous job. I’ve also seen Seth Feider in there more than once.

Seth is a part owner - of course he's in there when he can be

Omnia, FishUSA, ALF are all places I've had good luck with online orders.

TW is my standard since I can build a wishlist over time and when something critical hits I dump it all into an order.

FishUSA is great also.  They are based out of Erie PA and started up in the late 90's I think, primarily for the steelhead and walleye guys.  Steelhead is how I got started with them since they host a forum like this one.  They expanded into bass significantly and also support kayak fishing.  When I was in PA still there were times that my order would arrive the next day they are that fast in getting them out the door.  Good people, small business that has done well.

Tackle Warehouse has been my go to.

Another vote for Omnia. I like the frequent sales and the 10% cash back they do. The app that comes with the membership is nice too. I did have a couple orders in the spring not ship out as fast as they claimed it would, but a quick email got things moving.

Copper State tackle another good option out of Arizona. They don't charge sales tax, same as hookup tackle, that's a nice discount compared to most retailers.

I primarily use Tackle Warehouse if I'm shopping online, but I've ordered from Academy (lot of stuff I can't get in my local stores), BPS, Tackle Direct (better saltwater/inshore selection than TW), and bought several rods/reels from ALF especially when they were running the crazy deals on the SLX combos.

Academy gets a lot of business from me, better prices than BPS but maybe not as big of a selection. Also use Tackle Warehouse and BPS at times. For a smaller company Buzz Baits has some quality plastics and spinnerbaits.

Another for the home team: Copperstate and the Hook Up.

Ben and Geoff at thehookup tackle are great if youre curious about anything JDM.  They even drink JDM beer lol.  FishUSA is good, they pack rods better than the last few TW orders Ive gotten.  ALF is great for rods as well.  One place that I didnt want to talk about for years because they often advertise a few reels or rods at half price because the box is damaged, and they liquidate often.  Ive gotten  PIcasso HC carbon fiber dredger Pros, which were like $20 for $4per, the little spottys for $2 and tungsten  FBs for $3.  Their shipping is next level too.  The orders are picked and ready 15 minutes after the purchase is confirmed.  Midway is no secret anymore. VanDamme warehouse s good too.  Heres a good one.  For you guys hat fish in cold weather, check out Rogerssportinggoods. around black friday.  They have incredible deals on good quality waterfowl grade gear, waterproof warm, bibs, parkas, fleece, merino base layers, Drake and Sitka.  They tried to get in the fishing market, but it didn't work out.  They had really good rogers brand performance shirts and button ups that were made in the same factory and production line that Huk was using to make their shirts.  They went on clearance for like $10 for hoodies, long sleeve shirts and double caped button ups for $12.

You mean Bizz?  I found them through TW.  I really like the soft plastic they use.  Its buoyant, but not unnaturally buoyant like some unsalted Zman baits that float like a cork.  The quality of the plastic is good too, its soft, scented and the colors are good.

Sadly, TD is done.  The first location was this little place in OC, NJ that was STACKED with tackle.  I was glad I didn't work there I would have never made any $ at all.  The last location was a bigger shop, but they coult only display like 10% of the merchandise, everything else was in the warehouse in the back.  I knew something was wrong last spring.  They stopped auto restocking and started thinning out selections.  The store that was wall to wall tackle and gear a couple years ago, is now literally a couple cheap foldable tables and the rest store is roped off.

I heard they lost an investor.  Such a shame.

saltwater edge, fishermansheadquarters, tomostackle are all good, jandh has some good deals every now and then.

I'm going to bring up @Siebert Outdoors again.  Certainly not the selection of larger online retailers, but the stuff that he does sell is at the best prices and, if on sale, by a long margin.  The stuff that he makes himself or sells exclusively is the highest quality stuff I have in my boat.  His tungsten weights are the best available anywhere.  I own no bladed jigs other than Fogys.  I do throw Strike King jigs from Walmart when I know I've got a good chance of losing the jig but only because I don't want to lose my Siebert jigs.  I can't buy rods from him, but if he has something that I'm looking for, it's my first place to go.  I stock up on his stuff once or twice a year.  THEN I go find the other stuff I need.

I often check Siebert Outdoors and am planning an order come the spring. In order to overcome their shipping cost, one must order a larger amount at a time.

I don't use a huge amount of the things he sells.

I mostly use (read lose) crankbaits and soft plastics.
