Let me begin by thanking @deaknh03 for setting this up. I wish I had a good story as to why I didn't participate in Fishmas this year like I have in years past. Frankly, I forgot. Busy at work and dealing with life and it slipped my mind. I'm not sure of the logistics but I received gifts for my grandson from 2 different BR members. I thought the gifts were from deak. He bought my son a Spiderman fishing pole last Fishmas. deak texted me asking what my grandson was into and for my mailing address. I figured he was buying a gift this year as well. Going to have to do this in a couple posts because of the pic file size. Thanks @heavyduty for the dinosaurs and the books. He'll love them. The kid eats sleeps and breathes dinosaurs. I figured books about something he is passionate about would help him learn to read. Thanks again. Second gift was from @Siebert Outdoors With Mikes help and permission from @Glenn, I have something special planned for BR members. Stay Tuned.

Fish don't make decisions based on emotions, people do. If 6-15k is going to make someone think they're a better fisherman, so be it. I ran SI on the Lund and while it was a fantastic tool, 2D and mapping were the most important features I utilized. Livescope and MEGALive are tools that look to be fantastic. With a C&R mentality, I don't think it matters much to the health of the fishery. The new technology is just another tool.

The ethernet cable allows you to connect the Link to 1 graph. If you want to connect more than one graph you will need the ethernet hub as well.

Research the artist. All the pics and measurements in the world can't make up for an only moderately talented taxidermist.

Maybe it's time for a new rig. To drop $6k-$15k on new electronics when the current setup works just fine, to me, is a waste and, it's a little more than what I would call disposable income, at least in my case. I've got all sorts of ideas when I decide to pull the trigger on another boat. They'll be all old technology by the time I get it.

Professional fishing aside, I guess the saving grace is it's so dang expensive. If everyone could afford it, it could really take a toll on fish populations.

I mod a political/religious sub-forum on an industry trade forum. A lot less strict than BR because it's limited to vetted industry professionals and it's 100% adult males. Lets face it, most tradesmen are a little rough around the edges. While the rules aren't as strict as BR, threads can derail quickly.

A couple weeks ago, the grandson tells me he wants me to wrap his Christmas presents in blue polka-dot wrapping paper. I talked to him a few hours ago and he asked if I bought polka-dot wrapping paper. I told him no, I'm going to wrap his presents in toilet paper. He asked me if I had blue polka-dot toilet paper. Fast forward a couple hours. He calls me again. a few minutes ago. Asks about the blue TP again and I said no, it's just plain TP. He asked me if I could wrap the presents with the brown spots and farts on the outside. LOL

Topic is relative. My home water is roughly 10,000 acres with an average depth of 4ft and a max depth of 30ft with a mostly silt/muck/soft bottom. The bass aren't in 30fow. Typical northern IL lakes are what they call "soup bowl" The bass relate to cover because of little structure. There are plenty of spots I fish "history" because, more often than not, they hold fish. BUT, I fish history because it's cover, not because it's history.
