Transducer placement, battery questions...
When I had my 20' Lund, I had some interference on the bow graph. A ferrite ring cleared it up some but it wasn't perfect. That graph was connected to the starting battery as was the graph at the console. The TM graph was getting interference, not from utilizing the same battery but from the transducer cable run alongside of the power cable. Fast forward, that boat is gone. I have a little 14 footer now. Have a Garmin imaging unit. It came with a ferrite ring which I installed. The graph and the TM are powered from the same battery. Cables are not run parallel to each other. Lots of interference. Going to invest in a second battery just for the graph next year.

Transducer placement, battery questions...
You can mount a transducer to anything. then you can mount anything to the boat. As far as the battery, get a separate one. I have a Garmin SI unit in my rig and the TM throws interference. Going to get a separate 12v power source for next year.

Anyone still have a MySpace acct...LOL- Credit/Debit Fraud
It doesn't cost the bank, it costs us, in fees and interest rates, and it costs the retailer. If I accept a fraudulent card at my store and the CC company won't pay, we're out the merchandise. Company policy is any CC transaction over $5,000, from an unknown buyer, needs to go thru accounting before we can run the card. While some might think that's a lot, I have regular customers that spend tens of thousands of dollars annually with credit cards because the cash back or points are well worth it to them. I have one customer that the cash back benefits from the CC pay for his employees health insurance. I've had cards compromised a few times. My credit union has taken care of all of it except for the inconvenience.- You Know You're Old When...
