  1. Sorry for the misunderstanding Gimruis, I was being sarcastic about them lasting 1-2 days after warranty. It seems if you by a 12 month battery they last 12 months plus 1 or 2 more days and they go ka- put. 24 month battery or 60 month battery … you look at the paper work and your like “ #&$% it , I bought it yesterday 24 months ago” when I live wren it got cold and I put my boat away for the winter, I started pulling my batteries and putting tenders on them for the winter in my shop.
  2. I totally agree…. I had my stroke in February this year. still trying to get my head wrapped around everything that has happened. I have my good and bad days. Please Mike, take it seriously.
  3. I have given up on batteries…..I just get the Walmart cheap marine starting battery anymore. I think they are engineered not to last but a day or two past warranty. Cold weather is brutal, I mean beat down brutal on them if ya don’t keep some kind of battery tender on them.

  5. I should probably redo my previous statement…. My boat had been sitting for 2 1/2 years but, no fuel… tank had been removed. I want to kinda clean up the carb from sitting, when I pulled the plug in the carb bowl. It looked like it hadn’t been run dry, it ran pretty rough on first start up, but it cleared up and has been doing fine. II would try to get rid of all the old fuel, even get an 12v fuel pump and pump it out. Think you’ll be happier in the long run.
  6. Love it. I’m making one of these.
  7. Ask around on the forum part of TinBoats.net they even have a aluminum fishing series section. Nice bunch of people, I was on there when my wife got me a 15ft Polar Kraft, mod V for Xmas one year, it was a basket case. They gave me a lot of tips on there.
  8. Soft plastic…..creature or worm.
  9. What’s better? I don’t know, I use sea foam marine. Along with ethanol free gas, mine sat for 2 1/2 years when I got it. I mixed it rich with sea foam marine on the first start up, and haven’t had an issue.
  10. Will keep you and family in my thought, amen.
  11. High 83 low 60 here brrrrrr!!!
  12. Hi from the Sunshine State of Fl
  13. Congratulations…… I’m still waiting to catch something on a chatter bait.

  16. Seeing stuff like that sickens me. What is happening to people?
  17. Watch Floridian news…. You’ll might see somebody using it , going down the street.
  18. I the worst of the wind and are through here on the St John’s River around Like George. Now it just the river rising and flooding. Lost a couple of oaks, ground is so saturated. With winds in the 50’s the trees just mush over. lost a little tree at the rivers edge about an hour ago, or that’s when I noticed it. Water is coming up in the yard, neighbor’s dock is just about to go under. hope it doesn’t get too high
  19. It’s scary what happening the world, at an alarming rate.
  20. I’ve found being accurate with casting is consistently keeping everything the same. You know the distance from the tip of your rod to your bait….1 1/2 eyes down, 3 eyes down. Hold the line in the same place on your finger and rod every time. Try to use the same swing of your cast too…. Just your wrist, or swing your arm. I kept a rig by the door and practiced at home, had targets in the yard and, if I had a few minutes, got out and toss for a little while.
  21. I used ultralight fishing for smallies when I lived in Nc., It was fun. I used a lot of weightless plastics, and small topwaters. Little 1/4 wake baits, in-line spinners too.
  22. My hats off to you….all of you that skip a bait caster. I went back to a spinning rig. I got tired of it blowing up and then, the time spent picking it out. I use bait casters for everything else but finesse and skipping.
  23. I use big game 12lb on everything, green, bait casters and spinning rigs. I really like it, seems to be as far as strength and, abrasion. I'm not a fan of braid, only have it on my pitching rig, and my dock rig for wacky rigging.
  24. I don’t get hard copies any more, there are more advertising than actual articles. The “27 ways to catch bass” is classic, I hope after trying “27 different ways to catch bass” one works. Forgot #28 the “ betts nets”, it’s a sure fire way to get something. I like the open, non bias opinions you can get here, I like to find out what doesn’t work and why as much as what works.
  25. I really don’t have a top five for fall, I do seem to throw more tubes during the fall. When the water starts to cool down, I find myself pitching bulkier baits. Not sure if that works every where.
